By far. I've boosted both the sohc and the dohc KA's. Just a t3/t4 50 trim (which was the best setup imo). There's not as big a market on the sohc as the dohc. Both can be had for cheap. Check out ka-t.org, really good forum if you go the KA route.

Really just rust behind front wheel frame rail (like any old nissan) and rust on the shock tower are 2 major spots. Might wanna think about looking at KA swapped 510's as well. The KA does very well with boost, eventhough it's a "truck" engine.

I've personally seen 7K race, at the world of outlaws. Chi-town boys against New York boys. That was for each race though. Believe there was 10 races between them, all different cars. On another note (can't remember the $$ amount, thinkin it was 1K) saw Turbo Nick (original Kenny's T-Type owner) race a nice gold w black stripes 72 Camaro out on 40 by the shop. Camaro lost and never paid up, then the Sheriff showed shortly after.

The guy/father situation was a lil different. Can't remember his name but he raced all the time. He was going through some bs that no one knew about $ wise/house was getting taken back by the bank, etc. Guy simply wouldn't ask for help $ wise. Dad was 90 and blind and he was the only one who took care of him. So that was his reasoning for taking his dad out with him. Not right, but still. Last nights guy ran a used car business next to Carter lumber here on 40. It's about 3-4 miles from where I work. Dunno who he is, but he's a POS apparently.
