a. you guys are all bragging about stealing software to a software engineer, and that hurts my feelings. b. how does the os x do very LIMITED things? its completely unix based. im not going to get to into this, but it would be nice if before you started running your mouth you would first do some research or learn just a little of what your talking about. also, derek, if you have any problem getting that to work I have a few more ideas. and ben knows his shit too, he'll probably be more help than me.

i dont know what kind of .dmg/.iso you have exactly, but you should also be able to just mount that through os x diskimagemounter by right clicking the .dmg file and once you do that you should be able to just select that mounted image in the startup disk utility in system preferences and that will adjust your boot file accordingly. sorry if this is all stuff you tried, i dont know if you have an ipod but you could also boot of that if need be. josh, dont be jealous that we dont have to pay for extra software to make an image mount as a disk, have fun with vista

John Deloreans brother was the reason why there were painted Deloreans (from the factory) and one last fun fact, at the end of their run in 1983 DMC produced 4 24k gold plated Deloreans. the 4 cylinder Esprits are in fact fast, and are extremly reliable (for being an exotic), and it has the steering wheel out of a trans am, and the transmission is actually a 4 speed with a 5th gear welded on to the end (ouch), and the Esprit SE actually uses the tail lights from a corolla and a ECU from a 90 ZR1 and my 2000 Bravada still has the 6 disk factory cd changer in the center console six years later

Ok, so lately ive been beyond busy so I havent been hanging out on here to much. Ok! so i got my 360 today, and I am not as disappointed as I thought I was going to be, I just cant help but think how much better it would have been had they waited and not have rushed it. But I really like being able to connect my ipod to it, and im glad that live is now free. All we need now is some games worth playing. and as far as my oil xbox, yeah someone failed to tell me that new xbox parts cannot be put in old xbox cases. I will tell you how it all works out when i get around to getting new xbox.

So I accidently bought a 360 on eBay. I bid a low price that I wasn't expecting to win with. But low and behold, I won it. Its a sams club package so its a premium with a bunch of extras and I only paided 50 over retail. So all my previous Xbox 360 bashing aside, when I get it I am going to take it for a test drive on Shawnee States 61" plasma screen and let you know what the CRs resident game engineer thinks, and we'll see if I will still stand behind my original statements (which I think I will). On a similar note, has anyone ever heard of, I don't know what people that use it call it but I'll call it "submersive cooling" because it sounds really cool (no pun intended) . Its where you take all the non-moving parts of a computer and submerse them completely in oil (from what I've found any oil will work, and most use vegi oil but its organic and molds). This works because the oil is a lipid and therefore is non-conductive. Its supposed to protect from corrosion, and does an amazing job at cooling. I'm starting my project tomorrow (this is where the similarity comes in, just incase you were wondering), I will be doing this with an Xbox (not 360... yet). I'm going to make a new case out of .220 plexyglass, and will be using mineral oil. This is just to test out the methods, I will hopfully do the same with my computer. I,ve been having problems cooling my PVM on my mobo (it doesn't like running over 4GHz) and I think this is just the thing to fix my problem. I'm also going to use pump and radiator to cool the oil. I'm excited, as far as I could tell I will be the first to do this with a Xbox, seeing as there are few who even do it with their computers.

yeah i dont know what the whole married thing is about, the closest that i know of that is the HDD is locked with a key that is created by looking at a your serial and other such things on you mobo, but all that is easily worked around. Also if anyones interested, I repair and mod xboxs. So if any one is interested. also dj, if none of the suggestions work, i could take a look at your system.

yay, someone else with a v6 swap, once i get all the parts collected. i was thinking about a northstar V8 seeing as the are really cheap. but ive decided that a twin turbo 6 will suffice.

well, i personally would definatly go with that, a 1.67 processor makes me jealous. plus the new powerbooks have a longer battery life and better screen resolution.

I dont know exactly what you want to know, but as far as upgrading the processor, the powerbooks come with 1.25 or 1.5ghz processors if im not mistaken and neither are by any means slow, i have a 1.5 and it runs photoshop csII beautifully. but what you have setup there looks great, and the 15" is perfect, the 12" are weak, and the 17" are just rediculous for a laptop. im sorry if i that didnt help at all

360 is ghey, theres been one down at wal-mart (in portsmouth) for about 3 weeks now, they had to shut it off last week because it spent most of its time frozen. and when microsoft sent out the dev kits the majority of them wouldnt work right. I think there is going to be big problems with the 1st release of the 360. save your money and buy a PS3, which currently has the fastest processor/video card and will actually be true hi definition <---- which i would like to see because there isnt much to do on a plasma tv these days:) And the reason those demos/trailers look so good, is they were rendered on macintosh. But we will have to see what games are to come, and what will actually come to be. just thought youd like the opinion of the resident game developer.
