I was just thinking this the other day.

Doors. The idea behind the brake on the end of the barrel is so that the gas has somewhere to go when you put the barrel right up next to the door, thus preventing you from fucking up your barrel, ala, Elmer Fudd style.

But, if we're starting a list of the normal 'lady friendly' guns, I'll start a list of things that come to my mind, and others can surely add to it: 1. Glock 19 2. S&W 642 3. Bersa Thunder 380 4. M&P 9c 5. S&W xD9c

18" on shotguns, sans tax stamp 16" on rifles, sans tax stamp My personal opinion: you can pick up a Remington 870 magnum express (6+1 shots) for around $300 new. This is by far the best deal, IMO for a home defense gun. I'm sure Mossberg makes an equivalent which would work just as well. Pistol grips are pretty pointless, IMO, on a shotgun such as this. They might look cool, but for a tube-fed shotgun, I'd think they'd just make reloads slower. And they certainly don't have any advantage over a regular grip. Edit* - just saw the one you were looking at. Not trying to be a dick, but, that thing's a joke. That brake is pointless, and heavy. The barrel shroud (the shoulder thing that goes up) is also pointless, and just adds weight to the gun. And, you really should have a shoulder stock on a gun like this. It'll give you way more control. Ever tried to aim a shotgun without a stock? Those guns look neat, but they aren't practical, IMO.

Saw that a couple of days ago. While I agree the idea behind it is absolutely sweet, that guy executed the plan terribly. Seriously, I'd rather buy an empty cave and start fresh, than to pay the $300k he's asking and have to tear down all of his garbage to start over. The interior architecture leads me to think that he's just some schmuck who took a trip to Home Depot and got the brilliant idea that he could build a home all by himself.

For the motor though, I'd rather have an Atom 500.

I <3 you. I've never done any scientific study of the actual numbers, but it is my opinion that the human race will be fucked by over-population before anything else. I don't think we're really gonna have to worry about Global Warming, or recycling, or gun violence killing us all off. I'm pretty sure we're just gonna grow too damn large for this planet to support all of us, and then we'll run out of resources, and you'll start to see shit really spiral downward from there. Just my opinion; no scientific backing.
