Not quite. Glocks are technically still DAO, though not in the traditional sense. When you rack the slide on a Glock, it is in essence only 'half-cocked'. When you pull the trigger, the striker spring moves rearward (one action), the safety's drop, and then the striker drops (second action). Again, I say it is not traditional in the sense that if you have a miss-fire, there is no second-strike capabilities. Most other striker fired guns simply drop the striker when the trigger is pulled (single action). Cliffs: Glocks are weird. Semantics and all that.

I read that article yesterday. I think it's crazy we didn't think to have any jets 'hot cocked' sitting ready to go on the tarmac back then, especially being that close to the capital.

Didn't El Karacho post something a few years ago that states that if a LEO finds evidence via illegal search and seizure, that its still admissible as evidence. That shit still worries me. And call me crazy, but I still feel like LEOs should be better educated. I have to hold at least an associates degree (bachelors in some states and probably soon to be all) to do my job, but these guys get by with a simple high school education? And we trust them all with our lives..................and firearms. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Not sure what my end cost will be; haven't even really looked into it yet outside of buying the lower while they were still available. The thing I liked about DDLES was the magwell was fit to the mag, not some block that's been added onto a standard AR lower. No personal experience with the Glock-pattern lowers. I recently purchased a Colt-pattern lower made by DDLES that I'm waiting to arrive. I went with the Colt for a few reasons. 1. I can't stand the look of the Glock version. 2. Colt mages are relatively cheap. 3. The colt version seems to be just as reliable with good mags. That said, I do appreciate the convenience and idea behind using the same mags for both your pistol and rifle but it wasn't enough to sway me towards the Glock version. BTW, if you weren't aware, DDLES (IMO, the best out there from what I can tell) is no longer in business, so if you want one of their lowers, I suggest buying sooner rather than later as prices are already climbing rapidly. LWD also makes a Glock pattern and Zev Tech is working on one.

Thank you. This is a huge pet peeve of mine; The guy/kid/teenager/whatever WAS NOT unarmed. The boy weighed, what?, ~300lb? He has cinderblocks for fists. I'd be damned if I'd take a chance of going blow-for-blow with him. He gets within ~30ft of me and makes any aggressive movement, and I'm shooting him. No taser that may or may not work/hit him. No baton. No OC spray. Just bullets.

^^exactly^^ I'll admit, I'm a half-assed NCAAF fan. I couldn't tell you who's good, or who's bad. I have no idea who these people are that are being recruited. I have no idea who threw for or ran how many yards. I simply don't care that much. But I do love to watch a good game. And I'd like to see the Buckeyes do well. I won't be watching ESPN ad nauseam to keep up-to-date or reading Scout. I might check this post, and check the rankings, and watch accordingly.
