  1. Well, this thread is off to an awesome start - all this holiday cheer warms my weary soul. A triple option (from the shotgun formation, like Auburn runs it) would be interesting for Ohio State. Braxton sucked on Saturday, IMHO. I get that some of the balls he threw were catchable, but a lot of them weren't. Ohio State got outplayed and outcoached against Michigan State. Anyone who tries to argue otherwise is either an idiot or delusional. I look forward to seeing what kinds of adjustments will be made for the bowl game. Of course, I'm far less optimistic now, since I was sure we were going to see lots of offensive fireworks this past game and instead were treated with dumbass 3 yard outs and mind-numbingly idiotic QB draws to the short side of the field on 4th and 1. And I'll ask again - where the fuck was Dontre Wilson? Has anyone said why he was MIA?
  2. Hyde should have no less than 35 carries against Clemson. 10 more carries should be from Braxton. 5 additional carries should be from Dontre Wilson.
  3. I have a bit of PTSD right now, so I'll probably avoid media outlets for a few days as it pertains to Ohio State. So, please someone let me know if Urban or Herman explains why the fuck we just decided to abandon Carlos Hyde when he was running for over 6 yards per carry. We look like we were playing scared. That's pathetic, really. And, again, where the fuck was Dontre Wilson?
  4. I will agree completely if you agree it wasn't a beat down of USC or Florida proportions. My point is that, even when we have won convincingly, it hasn't really been all that convincing, relative to other teams' convincing wins in similar situations over the years. Maybe I'm just being emo at this point.
  5. We beat Kansas State in the Fiesta Bowl in 2003. A good came, again something Buckeye Nation could call a convincing win, but it was still in doubt in the second half.
  6. It was a good win, maybe a convincing win to Buckeye Nation, but no one on a national level saw it as a beat down of, say, USC>Oklahoma or Miami>Nebraska proportions. That game was still in doubt in the fourth quarter.
  7. I've been stewing over Ohio State not coming up big in big games. I can't really remember anything before the Coopera era, so that doesn't really count for me. So, basically the BCS era is what I'm thinking about. The only game that comes to mind in which it was a big game - a bowl game, a big OOC game, or a big division game - in which Ohio State just beat the hell out of a team was the 2005 Fiesta Bowl when we handled Notre Dame. But even that wasnt really a blow out. We beat Notre Dame twice in the 1990s. Neither was a blow out. We beat Michigan twice in Cooper era. Neither was a blow out. We won two bowl games that I can remember under Cooper - the Rose bowl against Arizona state (which was a thriller) and TAM in 1998 (after we choked against MSU!), which was a convincing win but not a blow out. We got throttled by Florida state in 1997 sugar bowl. We got beat in so many bowls under cooper era. Tennessee and South Carolina come to mind. We got annihilated by Penn State in 1994. That was a matchup of ranked teams. We lost to Texas at home in 2005. (Of course everyone lost to Texas that year.) we beat them in 2006, but not a blow out. We got killed by Florida, LSU, and USC. Then USC beat us again at home. We win 24 games in a row and none of them are either against a highly ranked opponent or what people consider a quality win. Help me see something I'm missing here. Because this is depressing.
  8. I was just thinking to myself that Ohio state hasn't had a convincing win in a big game as far back as I can remember. Either we lose or we end up squeaking by - and then that amounts to like zero respect. Cooper couldn't do it. Tressel couldn't do it. Urban...? Not yet. It's frustrating.
  9. We still look slow and sloppy on defense. And wtf is up with the two dumbass penalties on first drive? Shazier just straight leveled his man like he wasnt in a pass route - ummm, okay, how about no? It's the 13th game and guys are making sloppy plays. I'm with everyone who is screaming about why we didn't run Hyde more. Inexcusable. Seriously we had Mich State on the ropes in the 3rd quarter. And then we went back to the stupid quick outs? Dumb. And where the fuck was Dontre Wilson? Did he mouth off in practice and get put in the dog house?

  11. BTW that first down spot for MSU was bullshit. Dudes feet weren't even on the ground? He got pushed back a yard back of first down marker. And they spotted him 2 yards in front of it.
  12. Well this tells us we weren't ready for Florida State. We can go to the Fiesta bowl or something.
  13. Ummm 20 seconds just came off the clock after Braxton ran out of bounds?
  14. I knew there were going to be a lot but damn
  15. I'VE NEVER SEEN SO MANY FUCKING COMMERCIALS IN MY LIFE
  16. LJ totally agree that like 3 guys have made the defense look bad. I actually didn't think they looked as bad as the score suggested. Braxton needs to throw in first 3 seconds or take off running.
  17. I think momentum has shifted. We got popped in the mouth and didn't tap out. Fuck these guys.
  18. Why can't both teams wear home jerseys? That would be sweet. I get that certain teams couldn't do it, but us and Mich St could
  19. Knew this was inevitable. Said that auburn is now a much better team than the one that lost to LSU. But of course no mention that Ohio State might be better too. And we haven't lost.
  20. And here we go. Announcers are now lobbying for Auburn over OSU.
  21. Verne can't even count. How does his clown have a job? I still have hope for Missouri. Regardless this hasn't been the blow out that Auburn needed. Neither of these teams know how to play defense.
