HotCarl, the $10K buy-in is only for the Main Event (i.e., the largest, most prestigious poker tournament in the WSOP and, well, the world). Yet, during the WSOP - which spans several days - there are many other tournaments that are held (e.g., Omaha, Razz, pot-limit Hold Em), and those have lower buy-ins (though they still tend to be pricey). Supplicium, good luck. What tourneys are you planning on entering? Trowa, the Venetian has non-smoking floors, if I'm not mistaken, and I think the Palms has non-smoking floors available, but it's not on the Strip proper.

Great work begets business, it's as simple as that. IPS has been absolutely great to me since day one - way back when they were running things out of a small garage off 5th Avenue in Grandview Heights. Their customer service has always been top-notch, and their technical capabilities speak for themselves. It's not surprising that they're cornerning the market; it was only a matter of time. Posting here to largely echo what Sam and Sean just said. I've had both an 03 Cobra and a C5 Z06 - you really can't go wrong with either one. Some other, related things to keep in mind: The 03/04 Cobra weighs a bunch more than the C5 Z06 - like in the area of 600lbs more. Roughly translated, that's 60hp you are giving up in just weight alone. It's exceptionally cheap to make an 03/04 a fairly fast car - catback, CAI, pulley, and tune and you're putting down 450rwhp. Add just a small dry shot to that an you're putting down in the area of 550rwhp. That's bang for the buck. Shit for Corvette's is expensive - look at it as the "Corvette luxury tax." As Sam said, putting spray on a C5 Z06 will have you kicking ass in no time, but any mods beyond that start to get pricey, and not to mention time consuming. IMO, the C5 Z06 is much more drivable than an 03/04 Cobra. Not that the 03/04 isn't drivable, it's just that, again IMO, the C5 Z06 was more drivable. The ride in the C5 Z06 is more comfortable - the seats aren't as stiff, and neither is the clutch. For me, the C5 Z06 would make the much better daily driver.

No worries with that clutch. I consistently sprayed an 80-shot on my 03 Cobra straight out of the hole and, while the clutch got a little glazed from time to time, it held up pretty good, considering. I hear you though on not really having any desire to beat on your car. They'll last a lot longer that way, for sure. Your mod list seems solid. I hope to see your car out this season. I'm sure it'll be a blast.
