  1. Joe, did the truck collaboration happen this past Saturday? I think there was one of those "Monster Truck Jams" or something at Nationwide going on then - that may explain the influx of trucks into the downtown area. Anyway, I completely agree with the spirit of your post. I've said for years now that I'd be thrilled to see a study conducted to determine - based on truck owners nationwide - the percentage of time devoted to things actually being in the bed of a truck or being hauled by a truck. I'd be willing to bet that number would be remarkably low.
  2. I agree, but Dwayne Jarrett kind of did something similar during the Rose Bowl and it didn't get called. He caught a pass, got tackled, and, while on the ground, handed the ball to the defensive back as if to say, "Here, you obviously can't get this ball without me giving it to you." I thought it was a real dick of a move and wished he would have got called for it. Also, notably, he kind of taunted a UM player earlier in the same game during his touchdown catch. As he was running into the end zone, he turned back and pointed at the pursuing defensive back. (And the back, who ended up hitting him late as he was in the end zone, ended up getting the personal foul called on him.)
  3. Also, here's an article through ESPN on how ND didn't deserve to be in a BCS game: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/bowls06/columns/story?columnist=schlabach_mark&id=2719490
  4. I'd definitely have a resume in hand to give them. For bonus points, write it out using a crayon. Also, during the interview, refer to yourself in the third person (e.g., "Jason would be a great asset to this company, and Jason is confident that Jason will contribute to the growth of the organization for many years to come"). This has worked well for me in the past; I'm sure it will help you too. Good luck!
  5. Agreed, ND is overrated and should never have been in a BCS bowl. For the record, I believe it's 9 straight bowl losses, not 10. All of this reminds me of a joke I read here (that was posted by Hoblick, I think): How are Notre Dame and marijuana alike? Both get smoked when put in a bowl.
  6. Know what I remember about Hurricane Katrina? How fucking whiny and self-entitled everyone in New Orleans seemed afterwards.
  7. I can't see the vid - all I keep getting is some "Adult Content Disclaimer" page, and it won't let me proceed from there. Help me see the boobs please.
  8. So, you picked them to win, or you picked them with respect to the spread? And how much did you bet? Just curious.
  9. And that's why I'll never buy a car over the Internet.
  10. Please page the second gunman on the grassy knoll.

    USC > UM

Between you and me, I'm kind of glad we don't have to play USC - their defense looked jacked up, and their offense was obviously clicking (in the second half). I was one of those running my mouth about how shitty USC looked all year; well, they proved me wrong in the Rose Bowl. How they choked twice against Oregon State and UCLA I don't know. Oh well, UM got embarassed, and, Kevin R's right, they certainly didn't show that they deserved a rematch with OSU. Additionally, the way USC and Boise State played yesterday reinforces how much a playoff system could alter the national championship outlook - does anyone want to play either of those teams right now? Both of them could be deadly in a playoff.
  12. Fucking brilliant. Boise State was so badass that game.
  13. Went to BOMA, had a great time, went home and had sex with a really hot chick. The end.
  14. Holy god, that Supra is one the hottest cars I've ever seen.
  15. Holy fuck. EDIT: Ken, wow, hope you're okay. Sounds like you did all you could.
  16. I wasn't really referring to getting stabbed inside the joint, instead I meant to imply that you're likely to get it when you leave. It's the east side, after all.
  17. This made me LOL. That place has had several names. Before it was Sundance it was the Big Easy. Before that it was, what, the Red Dog Saloon or something? Before that it was Club Dance. Before that it was Atlantis, and before that it was called East Dallas. I went to it when it was Atlantis for "teen nights." There for a time, when it was Club Dance, it was ultra fucking popular, especially on Wednesday nights. And, for the record, no matter what it was named, you could always get stabbed there.
  18. I'm going to scissor kick you in the back of the head!
  19. Yeah, woo! Turn up the heat!
  20. Who's the retard that resurrected this thread?
  21. I've heard of some country club called Nyo's (pronounced 'NIGH-OSE'). I don't know how to spell it, never been to it, and don't know where it's at. However, it's the only country club I've heard of in the CLB area in the past year or so.
