  1. OK folks, all ems/pms are answered as of now. I've been under the weather the last two days so I was a little slow getting back to you all, sorry. Well, I think I have everything posted in those pics that is for sale. I have my next weeks' work schedule and looks like the middle of the week is best for me meeting, Tu-We, and maybe Thur. Thanks for looking, Bill.
  2. As of now, all of the seats are still available. A guy is supposed to be coming to look at a set of the Recaros tomorrow. Bill.
  3. I know I know, actually, if I was doing any work with that stuff it'd almost be OK, LOL. That was my Grandpas' car, I got it 12 years ago when he died, and he got it in 1970 when his Brother died. It has 24,xxx miles on it, but it's a total trainwreck. I'll never get rid of it and hopefully I'll get to finally work on it when I get my new place later this year. Bill.
  4. Update: 5pm 7/11, I have posted about two more pages of pics, all of the AutoMeter guages are going to have to wait until I can sort through them again to pick out what I'm keeping, like most of the other stuff they will be new in boxes. Bill. Nope, I do! (kinda) Seen in this pic http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f341/billzie/Tracer%20Wagon/93MercuryTracerWagonrear.jpg btw, one of the pictured separate chrome timing chain covers goes with that dress-up kit. You'll have a pm soon with contact info about those things listed. Ok, I have two distys and sets of wires listed there. You'll have a pm soon. Thanks for looking, also, does anyone know how to change the title of a thread? My other for sale thread should read "Recaro and Corvette seats for sale". Bill.
  5. Howdy folks, time for an update. Sorry I kinda disappeared for a while, things got really crazy over the last 8 months or so with family issues. I apologize if I didn't get back to you about these seats or anything else I had for sale. Hopefully those problems are behind us. Now I am clearing out my garage/shop of about 10 years worth of parts, and my 79 Z28. So I have all of it for sale now http://s50.photobucket.com/albums/f341/billzie/Items%20for%20sale/ Thanks for looking again, Bill.
  6. OK, before I get started I apologize if I'm not following the rules. I have waaaay too much crap to get rid of and I don't want to clutter up this forum with a hundred posts. That being said... I have a NOS Moroso chrome 6qt deep oil pan for SBC part # 19510. New in the box (boxes may show typical signs of long shelf wear), chrome in great shape, minor surface rust inside the bottom of the pan from long storage. From Moroso: Moroso 19510 Chrome SBC Deep 6 Quart Oil Pan Deep sump increases capacity to 6 quarts, which reduces oil temperature and insures adequate supply to pickup area Trap-door baffling allows oil to flow “one way” into the pickup area — and keeps it there Works with most starter/flywheel combinations Chrome Plated Steel, Deep Sump Pan, pre-1980 blocks with driver-side dipstick. These go for about $180 from the speed shops. I'm looking for $135 obo. I am willing to ship or meet somewhere, but buyer is responsible for shipping/handling charges. I will accept Paypal. I am located in Athens, about 75 miles SE of Columbus. I also have a ton of other stuff, mostly SBC, but universal stuff too. Just way to much to post individually. If you see something else you like, just ask. Prices will be similarly discounted off of the retail prices out there. Most of the stuff is NOS in the boxes, some of it was shop display models that were never used, some of the stuff was gently used. I will add more pics over the next several days. Take a look. http://s50.photobucket.com/albums/f341/billzie/Items%20for%20sale/
  7. I have a 69 Nova front bench seat in my POS 24K orig mi Granpa hand me down. But I'm only interested in a trade for stock buckets. Bill.
  8. Thanks man, I actually went up there Fri after working all night down in Jackson to find that the sale started Sat. ARGH! I've been up there about 3 times in the last month or so and figured they'd be having sale around one of the holidays, so I've been stashing my parts in other cars. I ended up sleeping in my car outside a Walmart Fri night to make it back for the 50% off this morning. Too bad I have to work Sun night, or else I would've stayed all day today and pulled a couple of front subframes I've been thinking about, oh well, maybe next time. Yes, they were pretty picked over, but it was like that since before Christmas. One of the yard guys told me that they've been putting out only about half of they're normal targets and the sale was just to get folks in and pick over stuff to generate sales b/c they haven't been getting in a lot of cars lately. Well, I hope folks got what they wanted, keep me posted for the next sales guys, Thanks, Bill.
  9. They only have a generic recording, thanks though. Parsons/Groveport, same road I think, Pick-n-Pull is the name of it, it's the huge place that I assume most guys who junkyard know it. Thanks man, I appreciate it. However, last time I was there a worker there said "IF" they were doing it (wink, wink) it would be Fri, Sa, Su. I can only make it on Fri. How did you find out about the days? Was there a sign? Hear on the radio? or from a worker? Thanks again, Bill.
  10. Has anyone heard any of the radio ads about Pick-n-Pull (on Parsons) having a sale this New Years weekend? I'm down in Athens and can't get any Col radio reception. Help me out please! I gotta make my trips up there worth while seeing as how it's such a drive. Thanks, Bill.
  11. They have a 85 in there today 12/17, pretty rough though. BTW, if anyone has the info about when the next 1/2 off sale will be please let me know. I live all the way down in Athens and I can't get radio reception down here to listen for the commercials, they only run them a few days before the sale I'm told, I thought they might be doing this again soon with the holidays coming up. Anyone with info please let me know, the drive up to Col is a bear and I want to save as much as possible. Thanks for your help. HTH, Bill.
  12. Sorry, I know it's an old post, but I saw this while searching for something else. There is a great huge JY that has mostly older cars out on 40 just W of W. Jefferson and just past the golf course on the south side of the road. The JY sat for a few years pretty much untouched, but last winter a young guy and his pop bought it and are trying to do right by the old cars there. They're good folks. HTH, Bill.
  13. Kumho Ecsta V710 racing slicks (not DOT street approved). 215 / 40 R 16 82W Set of 4. Good shape all around, had about 4 events run on them. No flat spots, no damage. Email me for more details and pics. $300, will consider trades + cash for street tires 205/45/16. Located in Athens (about 90 min SE of Col), pick up preferred, but delivery or half-way meet possible for gas $. %5Bimg%5Dhttp%3A//i50.photobucket.com/albums/f341/billzie/Items%20for%20sale/kumho710215-40-16.jpg[/img]
  14. BTW, know anyone interested in a Suby that needs work? I'm selling my nephews 98 Subaru Legacy GT 2.5, he moved to IL for school and never got around to fixing this thing. It books for about $6,000 if good shape, but it needs a head gasket/head job and an ABS sensor. Head gasket kit and sensor are about $400 and then the labor/machine shop. I'm hoping for $2500 thinking someone will put $1000 (parts/machine shop) plus their own labor in to it and have a 6 grand car. Very minor body and interior issues, needs a good detail job. Specifics?, just ask. 83,xxx miles. It's white with black/grey interior, 5spd manual, a/c, pw/pl, pw moonroof/sunroof, stock wing, BBS 16" 18 spokes, tires good, stock cass/cd, fogs, Pioneer replacement 3 ways up front and wired with a Rockford Fosgate amp kit, etc etc. Starts every time, runs well, just the over heat issue. From another board I have it posted on: Quote: Originally Posted by MazdaManiacMx3 I'd be interested if you were closer , thats just too far to trailer a car for me .. Good luck though (he's in eastern PA about 500 mi away) C'mon, that's nothing compared to when I got each of my Tracer LTSs, I lived in Chicago at the time, the first one was near Salt Lake City Utah, the other was near D.C. What I always did was rent a full size pick up from Enterprise, the weekend rates are usually 50% off, the chevys have the tow package usually, unlimited miles. I have a tow dolly, but one can be rented from uhaul. Rentals should be about $100 and gas right now is as low as it's been in a long time ($2.20s at places). This can be a half day thing round trip. If you want to be brave and have the time you could drive this home, just be willing to stop when the thing spikes a temp. BTW, If I spent a half day detailing this thing I'm sure it would sell uber-quick for a bit more $, I just don't want to put any more effort into this thing than I have to, I just sold one of my LTSs and I've got to get ready to sell my 79 Z28 when this one is gone before winter. I'm down in Athens btw. HTH. Here are some quotes from other boards it is posted on: Anyone seriously interested in taking a look is more than welcome to stop by, em me for details. I will take a few more pics today. Yep, the carpet is pretty well shot and could use replacing, the sunroof wasn't left open but I can't gurantee no one ever threw up in it LOL, it's just a car from the country and he lived out in the boones for a while. I cleaned it up a bit, but that carpet is shot IMO. He never used floor mats, lived in the boonies, and worked construction/concrete, so yeah the carpet is junk. I believe ACC has replacement carpets for about $120 IF someone wanted to swap it out, or get a decent one from a JY for about $20. They weren't available turbo in those years, however, they were in the other world markets and is a fairly cheap swap compared to our cars (well I have the BP in my 2nd gens). He may not have, I don't know. Realize, that car sat for a long time at his old place in the boonies near a tree, so it had it's share of sap and crap on it. It came straight here, was parked, and I took those pics. I think taking that into account it was in pretty good shape! I have since given it a quickie bath and cleaned the interior some. Yep, sounds about right. There was a "Limited" model as well, that came with leather, but I believe that was the main difference with the GT We need to get rid of it to raise funds for his return to college. We're trying to maximize on the price. The car is in nice shape aesthetically in and out, but, we know it has some issues, one big, one questionable, one just a minor pet peave. I'll start with the lesser and work to the big one: The shifter when in neutral only doesn't automatically center itself, it stays in gear when in gear and it stays in neutral when in neutral, but it has a floppy play to it in neutral, it has never caused any issue and has been this way for as long as he’s had it. It had a short shifter installed and apparently this is normal for these cars after that. It's just one of those things you get used to. The ABS system has a glitch, the ABS light stays on most of the time and nothing is wrong, except when the light goes off there is a very noticible pedal pulsation when braking at any speed any condition, no one in our part of the state has the diagnostic plug for Subie ABS, this should be a very minor fix or just drive like it is as it's been like this for as long as he’s had it. It was scanned in Parkersburg WV at Subaru and it threw a rear ABS sensor code (can't remember now if DS or PS). Now the worst. While in the shop for "routine" repairs, the mechanic wasn't aware about the frequency of the coolant problem with these cars. These were all newly replaced the radiator, thermostat, belts, water pump, crank pulley, timing belts, tune up, clutch, power flushed, and new coolant. This guy was unaware that these cars need to be coolant bled, so it keep spiking temps very quickly and then come down just as quick (probably from an air pocket going through). The car was never run hot enough to overheat or spew, my nephew is very cautious and pulled over anytime the temp got high, it never outright overheated but did get hot a few times, the mechanic gave up on repairing it and charged him only for parts and refunded the labor, we then researched this problem online and found out about this issue with these models. We are not sure if it needs the head job or not, the local import shop (the only one around here) said although the compression test looks good, there is no guarantee, it might just need the coolant pressure breed and be fine. However, during all this time with the first mechanic my nephew already picked up another car and has been driving it ever since and lost interest in this one. I am not going to put any money or effort at all in to this car, I just need to sell it to help offset some of the cost of his education. Let me know, thanks, Bill. %5Bimg%5Dhttp%3A//i50.photobucket.com/albums/f341/billzie/98%20Suby%20Legacy%20GT/picsafterbathDS.jpg[/img] %5Bimg%5Dhttp%3A//i50.photobucket.com/albums/f341/billzie/98%20Suby%20Legacy%20GT/98SubaruLegacyGT2-4.jpg[/img] %5Bimg%5Dhttp%3A//i50.photobucket.com/albums/f341/billzie/98%20Suby%20Legacy%20GT/Enginebay.jpg[/img] %5Bimg%5Dhttp%3A//i50.photobucket.com/albums/f341/billzie/98%20Suby%20Legacy%20GT/Dashclusterrunningafterspinforgas.jpg[/img] %5Bimg%5Dhttp%3A//i50.photobucket.com/albums/f341/billzie/98%20Suby%20Legacy%20GT/picsafterquickievacfront.jpg[/img] %5Bimg%5Dhttp%3A//i50.photobucket.com/albums/f341/billzie/98%20Suby%20Legacy%20GT/picsafterquickievacrear.jpg[/img] %5Bimg%5Dhttp%3A//i50.photobucket.com/albums/f341/billzie/98%20Suby%20Legacy%20GT/Trunkwithtraycarpet.jpg[/img]
  15. This is OBO. I am willing to deliver and meet anywhere between Athens and any of the following: the Columbus area, Parkersburg WV area, Chillicothe area, or Jackson area. I would just require deposit up front and some time to fit my schedule. Thanks for looking. Bill.
  16. The tires were purchased in spring of 2005, They had three short closed course events on them in 2005 and one longer closed course event on them this past summer 2006. I estimate they have about 200 miles on them, but not exactly sure, this is just as good an estimate as possible. This tire was a favorite among the other racers and that is why they were bought, it consistently was rated as best bang for buck track tire among the other racers. I am selling these because I'm going to use those wheels as my street wheels and I'm going back to the stock 14 or 15" size wheel for racing to save on modification points because next year I'm going to run a turbo and need to shave points somewhere. They are Kumho Ecsta V710 215 / 40 R 16 82W DOT H2LN YA5B 5104 These are not DOT street use approved. Track only tires. $300 for the set of four, I will ship but buyer pays all s/h costs. I am in Athens, Ohio 45701, which is SE Ohio. If you need any other info, let me know, Thanks, Bill. %5Bimg%5Dhttp%3A//i50.photobucket.com/albums/f341/billzie/car%20stuff/kumho710215-40-16.jpg[/img]
  17. Howdy folks, First off, I've got two sets of Recaro bucket seats to sell. Neither are perfect by any means but still in nice servicable shape. They will a need a good cleaning, what you see in the pics is from being my storage for the last year. One set has a rip and a near rip in the DS outer bolster, they are darker blue with multi-color tweed inserts (This set is SOLD) . The other set has the DS seating surface worn but not worn through, they are blue with teal inserts (This set is SOLD) . I will take $100 for either set, first come first served. (both sets SOLD) Secondly, I have a pair of late 80s Corvette power seats. iirc, they called these the standard leather seats. They are power, and include the stock switch and the wiring harness to the seats, includes the tracks and motors. The DS leather is looks bad, might be able to replace just the one panel that is bad, but matching the color will be hard I imagine. $150 for the pair, I believe just the tracks, motors, and switch are worth much more than that. I am located in Athens, but I'm willing ship or to meet to deliver, buyer pays shipping/handling costs. I do accept Paypal. Pics can be seen here: http://s50.photobucket.com/albums/f341/billzie/Items%20for%20sale/ Thanks for looking, Bill.

    New guy.

Howdy folks, noob here. I moved to Athens from Chicago, what a change. There are NO places down here to get anything done. For parts crap ass Auto Zone, and a small one at that, is about the best it gets. The local boneyards are closing and the one big one the old man died a while back and his son sucks ass, no deals, doesn't really even want to deal with the public. And, for misc stuff, forget it all together. Anyway, these are my rides: 69 Nova, only option was the 307 v8, bought 2 weeks before I was born by my great-uncle who put 12,000 mi on it the first year, he died in 70, my Grandpa inheirited it, when he died in 95 it had 24,000 mi but spent its' life sitting on Chicago streets (rust and crushed roof from construction mishap), the cousins though there'd be a fight over the car but when they saw it they gladly let me have it, hell I was the only one to drive and take any care of it in the 5 years before Gramps died, anyway it's a total trainwreck gonna take 20 years to fix (ten left), been on blocks for five years and just collecting the parts to do the work. 79 Camaro Z/28, sitting next to the Nova, got side swiped by a semi on the highway, took the settlement money to live on while I was out of work, got most of the parts to fix. 91 Mecrury Tracer LTS, 5spd, pw/pl, p moon/sunroof, got BPT! (Jap turbo version of the motor, stock 170 hp, not installed yet), I love these little cars, for those who don't know the LTS is the 4 door version of the Escort GT (stock Escort/Tracer 1.9 L Ford motor with 88 hp, GT/LTS 1.8 L DOHC Mazda motor with 127 mp), TOTAL SLEEPER, everyone thinks of the Tracers as total Grandma cars, which is what they were, how Mercury ever got any g-mas to pony up another three grand for the LTS is beyond belief, btw a lot of guys are running Escort GTs in auto cross all over the country, must be something to it. 93 Mercury Tracer Wagon, soon to get all of the same goodies that the LTS has, but will be more of a daily driver and hauling vehicle (not towing cars, but a small trailer to get stuff from Lowes, etc). 91 Mercury Tracer LTS, auto, solid car, FOR SALE b/c I'm keeping the other one. Let the flame war begin on my fondness for the Tracer. Bill.
  19. Just a bad choice of words I guess, it was late. Thanks for getting me here. Now I need some help finding these places. Hell, I'm also looking for a place to get interior supplies like vinyls, glues, panel snaps and plugs (like what they use for speaker panels/grill covers). Bill.
  20. I'm a noob here, got turned on by a guy from z28 board. I'm looking for a place that does Cadmium plating (for my rotors, 12 in all) and prep and powder coating for a bunch of other parts. How do these places charge? I don't have access to my sandblast cabinet anytime soon, so my parts need to be prepped too (except for rotors). I'm in Athens, but willing to go to the Columbus area, preferred on the SE side. Any help is appreciated, thanks, Bill.
