  1. Yurp. It feels like when you move out of a house and you take one last look around for memories.

I just did this 3 weeks ago with the house I lived in for 11 years. This is more like having to drive by the old house everyday on your way to and from your new house.

  2. Can't believe I've been apart of this site for so long. This is a great place, even with the lower activity. Met a lot of people on here and made a ton of great connections. I know we all appreciate what the admins have done with this forum over the years. Hope to see some of you out and about in the future.
  3. I think it looks better than the current Silverado. I think they went a little too far towards the Hyundai Santa Cruz-like styling, but I’m still impressed. This is the same company that designed the Bolt, so I know the bar is low.
  4.

When the OEM provides a list of vehicles they've sold that don't have chips that now they DO have the chips/components for, the owners bring cars back for warranty work. Dealer makes $$.

Which OEM is selling unfinished vehicles?

  5. I think something unique like this would get more interest on a national level, like BaT, eBay, etc. There's also Cars & Bids that seems to do well with modified vehicles.

As far as local options, what about selling it to Toy Barn? I know they're more high-end exotics, but it might be of interest with how well the overall build is.

  6. Anyone see anything on iPhones? Looking for a 12/13 mini. Best I found was BestBuy for $599, but I can only do it if I’m adding a new number online. Planning on stopping in over the weekend, but I’d rather order if online if I can.
  7. If you are buying from family (aka, trustworthy source) you absolutely do not need an separate attorney unless you are paying CASH.

If you are getting financing, attorney reviewed title work is part of the services you pay for as part of that transaction. Any LO with half a brain can write up the FSBO contract, and your good to go. No point in paying for the attorney work twice, since you will already be paying for it!

But doesn’t the seller pay the fees similar to how they would pay a realtor, just a lot less?

  8. Wife and I got offered a house by an acquaintance as they’re moving out of state for work. They are selling “by owner”. I’ve started reading up on this, but what do I really need to know? Any advice? We are getting an inspection and they’re transferring their home warranty to us. We will be using a realtor to sell ours when/if we pull the trigger.

Can anyone recommend a good attorney as well to oversee things for us (recommended).

  9. Professional eclipse has always done well by me. I think I took the first car to Jeff in 2008. Aways fair and lifetime warranty.

Nothing to do near his shop though, so have someone follow you and leave the car.

This is who did my Focus years ago and it's still holding up pretty well. Hasn't faded or bubbled in the past 7 years.

  10. If it just cosmetic and drivable they will issue a rebuilt title after OSP inspects it. I had a car with just cosmetic damage and the cop looked at it for like a minute. The only pain in the fees and process it normally takes a few weeks to get it done. They wont schedule an inspection appointment till you ever have the title changed.

But don’t you have to have the car inspected first before you can get the title changed? Or is my lack of coffee brain this morning confused?

  11. Who the hell wants to own let alone buy back and fix a fiat 500???

    Take the money and run

Because it’s almost impossible to find something half decent for the amount he’s getting. Plus if he can get it on the road again for cheap, he will just run it into the ground and have a nice chunk saved as well.

It’s honestly been a great car for him with minimal problems.

  12. Yes however parts must be bought with proof and vin number on it. I bought all of my parts from local junk yards.

Whatever they offered he needs to negotiate and get more for the value and less on the buy back. It's all a numbers game.

Good to know. Did you have those parts painted, or just show them the stickers and paperwork, then paint?

I told him to offer them lower on the buy-back. They're giving him an absurd amount to total the car ('13 Fiat 500).
