  1. I'm sure it's good and I guess Mace is right, after tax and shipping it probably wasn't a bad price, but it doesn't seem like it was a rare score or a great price. I do probably need a few "guest tasting" bottles but I'm more about the $23 bottles of Woodford they sometimes have and going through them faster than my wife thinks is healthy. Just had a bit of a FOMO moment in the store when I saw it up there and it was the only bottle left.

I got to participate in a single barrel pick of the the 10-year last month. Never having had any WhistlePig before and just started dipping into ryes, I enjoyed it very much. Two of the three samples were very good, while one was a bit underwhelming. I also got to try a previous pick and it was good as well. I can’t wait to get my bottle though. The one we all unanimously picked was excellent.

Guess what I’m saying is after trying various barrels, I think you have a good shot at enjoying the bottle you bought.

  2. It's funny you mention ohlq...When I went back to work for the state I worked for liquor control which was absorbed by commerce.

I still do some support for liquor(ohlq)

So if we need something, we should message you?

  3.

WT101 is a steal. Great buy every time.

If you like 101, have you checked out Old Tub? Good stuff for the cost too.

It's interesting to see all the differing tastes/opinions even in this thread. Post-COVID whiskey sampling night anyone?

  4. Does he have a note worthy collection? These bottles are pretty easy to get ahold of and sit on most shelves because of the high retail price. Its def a "gift bottle" because they are "expensive", but not to the point that it shouldn't be opened.

Nope. He has those three bottles. My brother in law and I have much bigger collections. I keep telling him to open it and drink it, but he won’t listen. I think I’ll force him to when our second kid is born in April.

  5. 1I get that folks collect things but good bourbon and whiskey was meant to be enjoyed. Alone, with friends, whatever. The 15 was great. Only one I hadn't had of the 3 before this.

He does drink Evan Williams and Eagle Rare. He just doesn't want to open it because of what is costs in stores. He got it as a gift, so he's got $0.00 invested.

    One day.......

  6. These have been good. I've had the 10 and 12 year (finishing the 12 as I type this). The 15 year is on deck. Got this pack for $20 at Kroger on 665 in Grove City a couple of weeks ago.

I saw those a few weeks ago. A lot of people like WP. I’ve been trying to get my father-in-law to open up his 15 year that he got a few years ago. He doesn’t want to open it since it’s such an expensive bottle.

  7. Find anything good?

So far, Target has a 3 month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $20. Gamestop will have the same deal tomorrow: https://www.target.com/p/xbox-game-pass-ultimate-3-month-xbox-one-digital/-/A-76626995

I'm looking for new All-Seasons for the Charger, too. If anyone comes across a great deal. Mainly looking at either the BFGoodrich G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S PLUS - SIZE: 255/45ZR20 or Goodyear EAGLE EXHILARATE - SIZE: 245/45ZR20. The COMP-2 A/S Plus seems to get high marks, especially for the price, but a great deal on the new Eagles would be nice, too.

I'm also looking at possibly a new socket set. Something like the DeWalt 192 piece, nothing fancy.

What deals have you guys seen so far?

I’m also on the hunt for some tires too. A lot of them are doing the Visa card rebates too.
