Meh I will never own a newer Chrysler product. I see too many issues with them. My Mom still has her 04 GC limited with 70k and its been solid. But not really a fan of any of their other models. All too heavy as Jones said.

Yep when I worked at Honda we got the passports (rebadged rodeo) in for recalls on the rear frame rusting apart and most of them were unrepairable - honda just paid the vehicle owners for their hunk of metal. I suggested a subaru, toyota, or honda. Look into older CRV's, nissan pathfinder, outback, etc. You'll be glad you didnt buy the rodeo.

Dublin always puts their mobile radar on my street a few times a year. I think they avg the speeds recorded to see if there are a lot of speeders on that street. I've gone 50+ in the 25 zone with no tickets mailed to me.

I have been a claims adjuster for a private insurance company for 2 years. I have an associates degree in automotive. I am looking to advance my career to an independant adjuster or possibly work for one of the larger companies. Anyone have any connects that could lead me to a new job? Thats true, only the passats and A4s had the sludge class action law suit. I always used the bigger oil filters as well on my cars.

Looks like Jones covered most of it with the 2.0 vs 1.8t. The 1.8t can have a lot of sludge issues if it wasnt maintained well. My 99.5 A4 had a 1.8t and i sold the car with 180K on it running flawless on original engine and trans. The turbos are going to fail eventually on both the 2.0t and 1.8t just depends on if you warm it up properly and cool it down your going to get much more life span out of them. 1.8t is great for a build (big turbo, 2.0 euro spec head, ect) 2.0t is peppy out of the box and just a tune, exhaust, intercooler, intake will net some good DD power. 6MT all the way with either of these engines

For the price I dont think they look that bad.
