  1. So I blew a turbo on my DD and it needs a timing belt/water pump. I figured I might as well do everything on this motor and make it run for a while. Heres whats getting done: -crank seal -timing belt kit with pullys -rebuild the k03s for now until I can afford some k06s -thermostat and gasket -beefy stainless oil return lines -valve cover gaskets -serp belt -rear main seal and gasket and then what ever else is needed along the way... Heres some pics before and the start of the process: http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/2837/picture006f.jpg http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/8772/picture010e.jpg After pulling the front end: http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/5589/picture011u.jpg http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/5628/picture012zhu.jpg http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/8476/picture013w.jpg I'll keep updating as the process happens.

welcome, I got some friends at school here in Phoenix from El Paso, i just cant stand the heat in the summer here in the SW.
  7. I always read about cars when I was young. When I turned 15 1/2 I bought my celica and did basic stuff on that by myself, then bought an Audi and a DSM and started working on those a lot. I did research online for a while then when I graduated high school I went to CSCC for their auto program but I wasn't getting much out of it. Now I'm at UTI phoenix doing what I love doing. I'm going through the Volkswagen program soon too.
  8. Im sorry to hear Tim. Just hope for the best.

  11. +1 on this. I have yet to own an automatic car.
  12. Nice job! I had to use a friend to install those few bolts like you said when I installed one in a buddys GTI for him a few months back.
  13. I'm a little over halfway done with my associates degree in automotive technology from UTI Phoenix. After that I am taking Ford FACT electronics training program at the same campus. By February next year I'll be in Exton, PA at the Volkswagon training program for 4 months. I have a job lined up with one of the Columbus area VW dealerships and I'll be a master tech in a few years. Right now I work at brake masters in Phoenix while I'm in school.

  17. yep, but they actually are fairly strong motors, my buddy just did a twin turbo setup on a V6 accord motor with stock bottom end. I'm not a Honda fan by any means but I was actually impressed.
  18. hmm the kid I know is 20 same age as me. I wasn't aware of another turbo nsx that was red in cbus, but I'm sure its possible.
  19. That would be a kid named Sean, his dad passed away and he got a bunch of life insurance money. He can't drive worth a damn or at least he couldn't before I left Cbus.
