I was working turn 3 during your heat, you moved through that tough area well, your son was much slower through there. That was a section better where better than half the people were screwing it up, I did on 2 of my laps, it was a tough area in turn 3. I was happy with my car and my driving, though with 2 national level cars in my class posting near ftd times I was only able to manage 4th place, but I knew I couldnt win with those guys showing up. I at least got to compare my times to a national level driver and see how far behind I am(and it's a lot).

Caterpillar C13 to be exact. I haul everything, it's a heavy digout truck.

I along with a lot of other people were becoming quite tired of the commentary during the 4th heat, it was funny for about 5 mins, thats it. Whoever it was doing needed to cut about 75% of the chatter out and just call out times and the occasional joke would be fine. Matt, the last turn was only feet in front of the finishing line and timer box, there were a couple close calls. It happens several times a year, so dont let it discourage you. The course was a fast one that you would of liked, we just gotta get you out of the drag mentality and you'll do fine, you have a very powerful car and you really have to feather the throttle in a car like that in the turns, it's not easy.

Damn good time today!! Fast ass course that was big but very technical with some tough turns. I could only manage a 4th place with 2 national level cars in my class out there today, but I had a good time and the car was great. Good driving Jacob! You were patient and smooth which is good for a 1st timer.

Look at me, I drive a non-turbo dsm built for handling, which is not exactly what dsm's are known for. It's fun no matter what car you drive. Come up and say hi, my passenger seat is always open(when it's installed anyway).

Yes you can, but they only allow 30 on-site registrations usually and not after 8:30am. I suggest you be there by 7:30am to be sure you make it in.

I was thinking of taking the turbos off my truck and bolting them onto the Laser, then I'd be able to drag all of CR around 270. Of course going in a circle like that would be too much like Nascrap and I would get bored so I don't think I'll do that, besides, I don't know how i'd fit those bigass things under the hood, each one is as big as my engine.

Agreed. I went up around the Marcus IMAX last year, guys were trying to bribe cops into letting them doing burnouts with donuts but the cops came prepared, they already had plenty of donuts with them.

Autocross is this sunday(the 9th) at the OSU lot at the corner of Ackerman rd and 315.

It's claimed to free up about 8-10hp, makes the engine little easier to rev. Your going to feel a little more vibration from the motor is, nothing that won't hurt it. I've heard of guys having too much oil pressure at high rpms after removing the balance shafts, might want look into having a couple of the oil passages enlarged slightly to keep that from happening. Check with someone like Buschur Racing, they've done balance shaft removals a million times.
