  1. This is by far the least expensive option and I've heard one in person, pretty quiet still but not graveyard quiet like stock. I just figure if I'm going to do it, just go ahead and get the full thing and take the slight weight savings as well.
  2. I'm leaning towards the Kooks myself. Mine's a daily so I want a fairly modest volume level.
  3. It was pretty good, biggest regret was not getting enough time to play with the M5, the car sounded nasty and we appeared to be about an even match. Haven't decided yet but will either head to AMP(Arizona Motorsports Park) or Inde Motorsports Ranch, both are much larger and faster tracks. AMP is really close by, only caveat is like Wild Horse its flat as a pancake, Inde has a large elevation change but is a 3.5hr hike down south of Tucson.
  4. It was good fun for the most part. It had been almost 4 years since I've been on a track other than autocross, felt good to shake off the cobwebs. Had a lot to learn with this being my 1st time out in the Mustang, and 1st time on this track. This is earlier in the session, the one Focus ST is just as fast on the straights with a turbo upgrade.
  5. Finally got the Mustang on a real track, went out with a group called ProAutoSports that hosts track days. This was on the Wild Horse Pass(Firebird) East road course. It's a small 1.25mi track, relatively good flow and fun track though. This was in their entry level group as they require anyone they don't know to start there so passing was fairly restricted and some folks either passed anyway or wouldn't give point by's so it was slow going at times. My car is bone stock.
  6. I'd tell her it's either her or the Orange. Ruby Red has been around for a few years now and continues to be, excellent color.
  7. Glad I got my Comp Orange!! Ford has always done this with the color, it has a 2 year run per generation.
  8. Ford has under tire'd the Mustang for forever in my opinion. I ran a 275mm square setup on my new edge and it was just enough, the stock 245's turned to goo as soon as you tried to have fun with it.
  9. Yeah those were the seats in the prototype car, the actual seats are the near the same minus the white: http://www.automoblog.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/2016-Ford-Mustang-Shelby-GT350R-1352-876x535.jpg
  10. Yep, mine were $1600. I'd bet they cost a good bit more from the Shelby. Mine will do just fine but that better material would be highly appreciated. The biggest difference in the new Camaro's seats would be the lack of shoulder belt holes. I would guess very few people use them really but they look better at least.
  11. I certainly like mine but there are days where the seat materials could be better. I do like the look of the perforated Alcantara in the camaro. The GT350 Recaro's look stunning, were it not likely to cost a small fortune I'd consider trying to get a set of those for my car. http://a38898d4011a160a051fb191.gearheads.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/shelby-gt350r-09.jpg?9939c0
  12. Damn, have to say those look a good bit nicer than mine.
  13. I'm sure you've read enough on 6G that the common theory is even Ford has held back on this engine a bit by keeping the rpms down and such to keep it safe. The basic engine architecture is of the 5.0 so we know the bottom end is stout. I think it will be fine, maybe not a 150k mile engine but more than 50k unless people are really hammering on the thing relentlessly.
  14. Everywhere else on the planet the FR-S is badged as a Toyota already right? This is long over due, boring products with the worst naming scheme ever seen.
  15. Ford said that when they 1st looked into these wheels they were almost 4x that cost, they worked with the manufacturer to bring those costs down.
  16. It's called "Premiere Trim" as is an additional option on the "Premium package" Mustangs. It's really nice stuff and up's the interior just that much more.
  17. They're spendy and not as far as I can find not being offered by Ford without the right VIN and you need all 3 as the hood is quite a bit lower than the GT. Wheels are $14k and don't fit the regular car also. Wing I'm told listed at $8k....Rear valence is available for the small price of $2k. Steering wheel is available and bolts right on. The front strut bar on the R is even supposed to be lighter and also available, there's a thread about it on Mustang6g. The sound of that car is astonishing!!:megusta:
  18. Yes, they are considerably better in material quality and still miles ahead of the 16' Camaro.
  19. If you have a device to run apps/streaming then I would just ignore the smart features and focus on the important content just for the tv itself. I haven't used any of the smart features on mine since I got my Oppo.
  20. That was a hell of a game!!
  21. I hope so but if they sell well Ford would likely build quite a few of them. I know its a different product but I remember plenty of Shelby GT's, GT500's, KR's, Boss 302's etc sitting on lots being heavily discounted. Hell, I bought my Fiesta when Ford had run out of production on them and they still had a $2k rebate on them.
  22. Were you able to get yours ordered at sticker/invoice? A year from now they will be sitting on lots with $2500 rebates.
  23. I've been waiting for another 09' to get in like my landlord did, he bought when the market crashed and is now $40k in positive equity(maybe more) on his place. The market has been too high for my taste, a few deals here and there but nothing I've wanted to jump on at all.
  24. Maybe I'll finally be able to buy a house this year.
