  1. I never did tandem, went right into AFF but the coach jumps can be nearly as expensive. My DZO already has a rig in mind for me, just need to get some cash together and am already learning to pack my own though $5/pack is more than reasonable.
  2. Thanks lol! The jumpsuit is DZ loaner gear, a jumpsuit of my own is the next purchase, prefer not to look like a flying banana. Gotcha, I've really come to enjoy it and plan to do it as long as possible. It is an expensive hobby but no more so than cars really, once you get over the initial expenses it's only as expensive as you make it.
  3. Yes it is, but still I don't think you'll catch me in one of those without a chute as old as these planes are. Thanks! How many jumps do you have? It's taken me 6mos to get this many jumps in because of the cost but its well worth it. That sucks, we jump year round here but it tapers off in the summer and we do mostly sunrise jumps, great thing about here though is even if its 100 degrees on the ground its 60 degrees at 10k feet. AFF is $1600 for the first 7 jumps assuming you don't have to repeat any levels. I'd guess with my coach jumps etc I'm around $2500 or so not including wind tunnel time. I've worked hard at making sure I passed my AFF quickly and was efficient at my Proficiency card by checking off everything I could on every jump. My DZ is small and much more affordable than a place like Eloy which helps and the owner has given me a lot of helpful advice and even cut me a few breaks on gear rental and such which helped. The next hurdle is purchasing a rig, my DZO says he has one for me so I just need to get the cash together for it but I'll still have to use rental gear for a while until I can downsize my chute.
  4. This past weekend I completed my 25th jump and earned my A License in skydiving. Anyone who hasn't tried this is missing out!! Landing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umt7zPleVjI Jump #25: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWEUuRbaQQw Both vids taken by my coach. Think I might make a hobby out of this!
  5. BYU has sprinkled some magic fairy dust on their team, don't know how they're doing it otherwise pulling these wins out. I would talk shit right now about the tide getting rolled but today just showed everyone is vulnerable with OSU squeaking by, Auburn getting hammered etc..... I just hope the play calling for OSU gets a lot better and the offense finds its rhythm again as they've looked totally out of sync so far.
  6. I want Tom Herman back, that was appalling.
  7. No unfair advantage at all, and not starting the specific output argument either and I couldn't care less if the Camaro is a touch faster, I don't do that kind of racing anyway. I just don't like GM, and especially that fugly ass car. It will be good for us as Ford usually sells those improved parts individually though they seem hell bent on not making GT350 parts available just yet.... No not stock vs modded, just pointing out what Ford clearly has left on the table with the 5.0. The 1LE is a special model gleaning parts from a version nearly twice as expensive, and frankly I hope Ford offers a similar package as it's a good setup. The PP is a more basic package for a good $1000 less that's been available from launch. I would't be into a camaro regardless, haven't like them since the last models with the live axle. Correct, especially coming out of a Fiesta ST which is almost the polar opposite of this car. It still feels heavy to me but therein lies the fun of modding and improving it!!
  8. Current SS is 3900lbs as mentioned in the article. As I mentioned I expect the same, the 5.0 is already plumbed for direct injection if wanted and it really wouldn't take but some tweaking to up the engine to 460+hp. JLT slapped on one of their intakes and had Lund do a tune and it made 40rwhp more than stock!! So 200+lb weight reduction barely gets it under the Mustang, considerably larger engine utilizing Direct injection only has 30more hp, nothing to be salty about in the slightest. I like the 1LE as a package, just can't stand the look of the Camaro inside and out, and it's a GM.
  9. Hideous inside and out. Camaro SS now weighs what a Mustang GT does, impressive. Ford will answer with a revised 2017 GT making 460hp just because. The competition is a good thing though, we all stand to benefit from it with better cars.
  10. I will never buy another android powered phone again, love the features some of the there phones offer but not worth the trade off in the headaches that android gives with its persistent crashing, lagging, and generally failing on every level. I see little on the 6s to make me want to move up from my 6+.
  11. He had a very low mileage 01' Bullitt in the past, not just the 4 bangers. Good to see Keiths place going to a gearhead, I really liked his garage.
  12. This is the whole SEC, they're all a bunch of fair weather pussies afraid to play in any stadium but their own. Fuck them, I say every school out there should refuse to play the SEC at all and leave them to their own circle jerk and see how they like being left out of the playoffs(this would work were it not for SECSPN).
  13. Take away the launch and it's another ho-hum boring, very compromised sedan.
  14. I noticed it, and didn't like it. The engine sounds fine on its own.
  15. Lol, I just did.:fuuuu: I'm told there is also a hack coming so you don't have to pull the fuse, but if that's all that fuse is there for then why not??
  16. ^Bingo. It's hardly noticeable, easy to remove, and channels the natural sound of the engine to you. The Ecoboost is trying "mask" the engine sound with fake sounds that can't be turned off, they should at least have the option to switch it off. A cold air intake and blow-off valve will sound quite good on an Ecoboost. A hack is in the works to turn off the stupid sound effects.
  17. I did drive the Ecoboost. I liked the lighter weight, engine is really strong in the midrange, but engine sounds playing through the speakers = GAY. The 2.3 is a great engine, but it's not for me and couldn't see myself in anything but a V8, no regrets at all.
  18. I'd bet it's just a V6 with GT badges most likely.:gabe:
  19. I got very lucky, this was the only car in the valley that had this exact car in stock. Next closest was identically optioned 2016 in Magnetic and thus the financing offer and rebate didn't apply. If you can swing a GT350 though, do it. I would if I could.
  20. The ST was a small, light, and lithe little machine, the GT handles well but on a mountain pass the GT would get gaped me thinks. ST was traded in, going to miss it. LOL! Well, I had just gotten home from a long day at work and blah blah.... So far I really like it. It's a very different car from the ST, much heavier and bigger of course. 1st thing I noticed was the hood, the ST's hood is about 18in long and sloped down, this thing is gargantuan compared to that. The power and its delivery is the next thing, the immediate torque is quite noticeable of course. So far just been back and forth to work so a more detailed write up will be in order down the road. Fuck, the wish list is already half a mile long. Ordered a car cover and windshield visor for now to protect it from the harsh AZ sun. Windows were already tinted. The wallet is empty for now so I have some time to contemplate the 1st mods. The ST is gone, I loved that car for how fun it was, always ready to play and never punished you for over doing things. I just knew I wanted an S500, this just suits me! Never considered the RS really, just doesn't appeal to me I guess.
  21. Thanks guys! Sticker was $37,xxx. The performance package upgrades to 19" wheels, Pirelli summer tires, 6-pot 15" Brembo front brakes, 3.73 gears w/Torsen diff, larger radiator, strut tower brace, bigger rear sway bar, k-brace, upgraded front springs, addl gauges, unique tuning on the traction control/steering settings.
  22. Well it's a bit sooner than expected but with the special financing Ford is offering and some cash back I started searching the inventory for a new GT and found exactly what I was looking for, 2015 Competition Orange GT, 6-speed manual, with the Performance Pack and Recaro seats. No other options needed or wanted. Took delivery last night.... http://i1381.photobucket.com/albums/ah230/bsenft78/IMG_0376%201_zpsq086dc9r.jpg http://i1381.photobucket.com/albums/ah230/bsenft78/IMG_0383%201_zps5arnt7vo.jpg http://i1381.photobucket.com/albums/ah230/bsenft78/IMG_0386%201_zpszntl2kso.jpg http://i1381.photobucket.com/albums/ah230/bsenft78/IMG_0389%201_zpscfhxu428.jpg http://i1381.photobucket.com/albums/ah230/bsenft78/IMG_0396%201_zps33otjywj.jpg :fuckyeah:
  23. Holy shit, absolutely immense explosion!! The compression wave in a couple of those videos is just unreal, looked like a small nuke going off.
