If the SCCA holds the event like I've been asked about everything would be covered, just a fee would be involved as they have the insurance, sanctioning, and a few SCCA volunteers to run vital functions on the computer and timing, corner workers would be manned by entrants.

Anyone try the new Castrol Edge yet? They made some pretty serious claims. BTW, Mobil 1 and other synthetics just dropped in normal price as much as $1.50/q yesterday and no less than $.50/q.

Fed the stuff through the intake on my Laser, never seen a smokescreen so massive but man it ran a lot better afterwards. Very good stuff.

^I see you added a Z06, you are required by law to take that thing to the track within 90 days of purchase and use it or the car must be relenquished to someone like me who will use it!!

They can, especially the drivers schools but usually if they fill up it's not until the week of the event. It's best to sign up online as it gaurantees you a spot in the event as typically only 30 walk-ups are allowed. Once the schedule is finalized and registration is opened I or someone will post it up, make sure you read the sticky in this section for the registration info.

Welcome. You should definitely come run with the SCCA once in a while, the larger courses will probably suit your power level better though the tight technical courses that the BMC are fun.

Car coming soon, not quite sure what yet but hopefully right around when the season starts though I won't be driving until the first points event. If my help is needed I will be instructing at the drivers school.

Sucked to see the Pantera guys go, especially after all the work they put in getting the car ready for the challenge and just barely missed it. Anyone surprised to see the Lexus chicks win that leg? I think someone might be using a cellphone gps or something.

Erik, XP or EM are your only options, SSM would require a motor from the same manufacturer.

Speaking of the Beerman, I just talked to him today and he's excited about this year as he plans on being out a lot more and retaking the Novice chief position though I don't know if he's aware your joining him. He'll love it for sure.

^Very well could be, when we went to that Air show last year the lot we parked on seemed pretty smooth to me and just plain massive.

The airport would rock, some of the old buildings over by the old tower have some huge expanses of area that from a distance at least looks good. In terms of large lots the only other big expanse is Rickenbacker, there has to be 100+ acres of asphalt and concrete that are never being used and would be phenomenol. Now that Columbus Motor Speedway has an infield I had brought that up as it's larger than Kilkare and would be perfect imo.
