stock turbo and 272 is stupidlist also. I cold under stand maybe a 264/273 combo for a stock turbo thats been ported to shit, and has every bpu mod on the car to aleast use the cam.

most the time cams are not a performance mod to a dsm till a turbo is ,unless your an evo. a 272/272 combo is going to give you a lopy idle and most the time a reflash or fuel controler is needed depeinding on the car. Just because you have a big cam you are not going to gain a huge amount of top end from the cam, you have to also even the power band out with a bigger turbo. with these cams you are going to lose alot of you bottom end now. if your trying to get cams because they sound cool or whatever id aleast save up for a turbo first if you wanted top end. I had the hks 272's in my dsm but I have all the supporting mods. I hope this vr4 is not stock and wanting cams.

Have you ever owned or driven a car with a dog box? or is this just imformation off the internet ? or hear say? or youtube videos? dogbox trannys are not that loud,most the people that complain they are too loud never even owned one with them. shit my s13 with 16 clutch lsd and exeddy twin plate with built tranny was louder then my dsm with a dogbox, my friend subi also has a dogbox and its a weekend warrior its louder then a stock tranny ofcorse but your talking about guys running gt30 and up turbos with 44m dumped gates I dont think your going to hear anything over the turbo/exhaust
