you should try 240sx forums ,or ohio nissans. and it does not matter s13 fmic kit will work on all s13 chassis...good luck , how much are you looking to spend....greddy kits are only 6-700 bucks or do it yourself with one of the cores from slowmotion or ips.

2 of my friends have done this swap, but with an rb25det same type of swap, they did not do the wiring themselfs, if you are having that much trouble you can send it too, Wiring Specialties they have done tons of the wiring for these motors for 329$ the clean, inspect, and label the harness, and its 100% work, tell them jason smith from 240forums sent you and you can still get a discount, hope that helps.

yeah 2.5 twin turbo inline6, most are r154 5 speed, the same tranny used in the swapped 240sx good for 700hp and due to gearing. only takes 6 wires to get the engine started in a nissan product. stock its 280hp but you know how capable the jz motors are, 1jz is a cheaper rb26dett option used in alot of datsun owners/ 240sx owners , they share alot of the same parts as a 2jz and have state side parts due to alot of the mk3 swaps.

your other option can be a 1jz, i can get the front clips for 2200 non shipped.

jdm 2jz are no weaker then a usdm , only difference in the two motors is one is map one is maf, jdm has smaller injectors / smaller cams/ and ceramic turbos , everything else is the same. i know for a fact that jdm and usdm share the same rods and pistons, head block ect. the jdm 2jz was just casterated.

you can get any rb26 rb25 or rb20 parts state side, phase2 has anything you want. i have a friend with a rb26dett with the rb25 tranny all the supporting mods and mount kit ect, in a 240sx coupe its not as impressive as you think , only built they ....friends gt35 sr20 with maxwork vg tranny ect, with less money into blows the rb away. call mckinneymotorsports ive been to there shop before and they have an rb26 in a hardbody and every 240 at there shop , they can pre use the rb mount kit for the 240sx to fit the truck , thats if you you have deep pockets, rb26dett is 4,200 then you will need to use a rb25 tranny, which is another 800$ ......1200 for the mount kit , wireharness unless you do yourself is 300$ all for 280 hp.

speedline i just bought a motor this past week from the guys at r&d racing in motabella california, they had tons of rb's in stock and start up/leak down test in front of you, and are the cleanest motors for the price, they had 65 still in stock when i was there last week, alot of people do the sr in the hardbodys so the wiring is prolly just as simple, ask the guys at slowmotion if they can wire and fab up somthing for your needs, maybe they can even get motors for you.

last oct in soutern california they had a huge datsun/ old school import meet at the TRD in carson california off of western ave off the 405, i was out there but ended up missing it , seen alot of pic's online of some nice nice datsuns.

you should ditch the ka radiator, would clean it up a bit. but yes my 240 will be needing some dyno time in the spring also:)

the wheels on the z are so fucking gorgous , cant get over them. never knew they made a 4 lug with crazy offsets and lips like that. there is a guy in alaska with a z with a rb26dett in it almost same set up just not as nice looking and broke into 10's on stock twins.
