Ok, so you only seem to address the overly expensive options (jeep, 14k BMW, etc). What about the countless convertible mustangs, vw cabrios, e36 convertibles, etc that can easily be had under 7k?

Cars.com Model specific forums seem to be a great way too. I use autotrader for generic searches as its easy to use.

I'd try running and dieting for free before you spend a bunch of money on stuff you might not use. Set a goal, like after each 10lbs, you can buy yourself some equipment. That way you know you'll use it. Just a suggestion.

I went today with my dad to shoot clays. First time shooting a shotgun, and obviously shooting clays too. We looked like NOOBS initially, but then I got the hang of it. Shot about 45 rounds, The last 20, I hit 18, so pretty good IMO. We will be looking into 20 gauge shotguns for this, as our old 12 gauge was pretty brutal to shoot.

Pretty much all APR tunes will increase MPG if you can stay out of the go pedal.

My brother goes regularly, and I went with him for the first time a month ago. Pretty cool. Get there early (we got there at 11AM) and were lucky enough to only wait about 10 minutes. Price is right, hell a year pass is on $25!
