  1. Inlaws coming at noon... Lame!
  2. How about this then... Post up what your guess is (and it is a guess). Then, when its done, all broken in, take it to Cosi, and put it on their scale and post the numbers here. Free, easy, fair. I would think a 50lb give and take would be fair. Just a thought.
  3. Bad ass car though, and awesome that you are doing this type of build on it. Gives us peons some excellent reading/viewing material!
  4. Your other points are fine, but these 2, are just plain dumb. You have ZERO clue how much your car will weigh after its all done. You are using a blanket range of weights for the Gallardo, and stock weights at that. You don't think someone who has a 1500hp gallardo didn't do weight savings too? Also, you really don't think at the HP levels you are talking about, AWD doesn't help? Thats just dumb, really.

    Audi rs4

For one, its Auto only, if that is a concern of his. I know the ISF has a BIG mid cycle refresh of its trans and suspension. It made it go from a great engine to a great sport sedan. I personally don't like the exhaust tips, but they are unique. Bad ass car though.
  6. Trailer was awesome. I'll go see it for sure.
  7. My issue with white cars are the paint match, although some reds are just as bad. It seems white is the easiest to look really bad with mismatched panels if something needs resprayed, if something is added, or even just the metal vs plastic on the stock car. Certain cars call for white, a 25k sporting coupe does not IMO. Get RED! If no other reason, get it because Jones HATES red cars.

The only thing that prevents carbon build up is a HEAVY foot. I have 60k and no issues, Jones has over 120k and hasn't had any issues either. I agree though, no way I would buy a 40k 4 or 5 year old car that needs something like that every 10k. It should be noted, it will still drive fine, but the power will just slowly taper off. Most owners probably have never noticed. Besides the look and sound, the B8 S4 made pretty much all sporting A/S/RS4 cars and A/S/RS5 cars irrelevant with the 3.0T.

    Audi rs4

Audi/VW pretty much pioneered direct injection in daily driven engines. These first gen engines are prone to carbon, 3.1 V6 and 4.2 V8 in RS4 are the worst. No gas gets sprayed on the valves, as it is sprayed directly in the combustion chamber. A lot of the guys who came "late" to the DI party, have figured out valve timing a bit better, and some have even added an additional injector up top to spray fuel directly on the valves. This seems to do wonders, as most other DI engines do not have carbon build up. Others do, but not many. The "second gen" Audi/VW engines have since cured this issue.

  12. I agree. Red is the best color i have seen on these.
  13. My father in law has, and loves it. Pulls a 5k trailer and says its fantastic. Mileage isnt great when towing, but he can peak 24 when cruise is at 68 unloaded

Not to mention handling better than any A/S/RS4 available in the USA.

Get the B8 S4. Seriously. Better car than both the RS4 and S5 in every aspect but exterior looks, and sound IMO. Literally does everything better. Drive one.
  16. Welcome. Lots of CR people will be doing AutoX this year, and I hope to be on the road course as well. PS, Mini LOL
