Well I'm here! Interview went well. It was arranged in 2 groups of 2 people. The hiring manager and a colleague (who I know). I would be working for the manager, and with other person. It went well, very laid back. Second 2 were people I knew of, but never met. This went less well, but still well. They were young, and were a bit uncomfortable asking the questions, which I became uncomfortable answering. It went well though. I would be working with them, but they do not work for the hiring manager. One in each group came from my department, so they know what skills I have, It just boils down to if they have someone more qualified, or they identified well with. The girl in the second group was a car fan. I asked her what she drove, she said she used to have a DSM! I was shocked at her using those words. Turns out it was a GS-T 2nd gen. She sold it though. We shall see. Thanks to everyone for the thoughts and info. It was appreciated. The one question that tripped me up is the elementary: What is your biggest weakness. I biffed on that one big time. Took me about 20 seconds to even spew words. Other than that, it went very well.

Thank you for your thoughts! This will really help me out! I am looking forward to this, but still nervous. I talked to my dad about panel interviews and he doesn't like performing them. He prefers a 1:1. As I suspected, its personal preference.

2 of the 5 people came from my department. One I saw daily, but never had much work interaction with, and I replaced the other. I have spoken to a 3rd individual on problems/concerns, so there should be a bit of familiarity, but nothing like a true friendship, or even a working relationship. Strictly the occasional necessity to talk on work matters. I guess it can only help though.

Thanks man. The good news is I am taking a half day on Thursday for the interview, and I am off on Friday!!! I also should be getting my wheels tomorrow! As usual!

Thanks for the info. I will certainly do my homework on the job itself, ask questions, etc. The job is within Huntington Bank. I work there now, so it is an internal posting. My biggest annoyance is that I have to try to impress 5 people instead of 1. It will be difficult.

I have an interview on Thursday. It is a panel style interview with 5 people interviewing me!!!!! I don't usually get this nervous but I am shitting my pants for some reason. What can I expect? This will be my first panel type interview?
