  1. Whore bag. Its your doing. Go Drive the S4, do it. Ass hole. I did, and see where it got me? Jerk
  2. As the title states, I am getting tired of my car. I have had 3 of them (06 GTI DSG, 08 Rabbit 5 speed and current 09 gti 6 speed) and been driving them since middle of 2007. Time for a change. I recently went for a round of test drives and it has sparked my interest in a new car. I drove the new 5.0 and loved it, but base model with brembo is 32k. The stipulations are AWD or RWD 20k Manual trans only, no dsgay, no paddle shifters, manual only reliable faster than my gti (mid 14) Remember I am a big guy (6'6" and 325), so no miata's or s2000's. Don't fit in c5's or c6's either. Is there such a car?
  3. agreed. Avg time is 4 years last time I heard. On Ave the cams don't become an issue until 60k+. Some have 120+ with unwelded cams, some pop at less than 50k though. Its a toss up. I would search on shoforum. Shouldn't take but 5 minutes. Then get it done asap. They are decent cars when that is fixed.
  4. No aftermarket fix. I would look through shoforum. There are a bunch of people that do it.
  5. So you think 340 is a lot for 4 rotors and pads all around? wowzers. And if you were ever to buy quality stuff, you would love it.
  6. Its not coming to america. We don't even have the S3. I can't think of an RS model that was brought to america that didn't already have an S model. If they do bring it, I might buy it, but it will be more than the S4.
  7. Gotcha. Thanks for the info. I stopped reading up on DSGay after I traded mine in. lol
  8. The DSG will allow you to keep up with much faster cars in the twisties because you will already be in the right gear when they(me) just thought about pushing in the clutch pedal. I kept up with my friends 951 with chip and dp in my stock dsg gti on a back road drive until the straights opened up. DSG certainly is impressive. Yours is dry clutch right?
  9. I would agree with this 100%. I would also throw in their the size of the vehicle has grown significantly and you do notice it (physical dimensions, not weight).
  10. They are very large on the inside. Bigger than the suburban as far as people room is concerned. And they have huge amounts of headroom even for me. Cool vehicle. Much better alternative to a suburban and minivan.
  11. I just got back from MAG. Drove an A4 2.0T Quattro 6 speed. Car was not for me. Slow, floaty, and very boring. Drove it about 15 minutes. Drove S4 with sport diff and 6 speed manual. Car was exactly right. Drove in auto mode (drive select) for the first half, car felt a bit boring. The car just worked very well, which was boring. Switched it all to dynamic and it transformed the beast. Car was very happy to rotate. Steering weighted up nicely and the throttle response was nicer. It is certainly a hell of a car, and a good value for its class. Very impressed. Just too expensive right now. I would like to drive the DSG too, this car seems like it would do very well with it.

The 1.8t sludges up because retards use dino oil at 10k intervals. Of course it will sludge. Haven't heard of any 2.7T's doing that, but I am sure it has happened. Mike Rowe provides a public case of just this on national TV in a recent FORD commercial.

They put out about 220 crank hp and tq stock. Chipped with fuel pump and test pipe like his should be about 260 crank hp and 300+tq. Certainly a fun daily. Modding your daily certainly depends on the car.
  14. I guess to your car, his 11 year old S4 is high dollar. Is this happening? If so, I want to put money down.
  15. Loaded S4: 62,850 Loaded CTS-V: 71,870 So 9k, but the Audi has some features not available in the V, such as adaptive cruise and side assist (going from memory, haven't looked closely to see if 100%). In my opinion, different price points even loaded out. Compare them equipped similarly and the price difference jumps up to closer to 15k. Just priced one more frugally, 52,800. Fantastic price compared to the B6/B7 at same price for much less of a car.
  16. 10k is 20%, a sizable amount. Its fine that you would save/spend an extra 10k and buy the V, but they are clearly in different price points.
  17. The v is not close in price when equipped the same. These top about 60k. The v is about 15k more.
  18. Any place to see this interview?
  19. I never really had a problem with white, its black that will never be purchased by me again.
