    WTB: Car or Suv

I have an AWD 07 ford fusion I'd let go for 10. All power, tungsten gray, 95k.
  3. Slickdeals FTW that site has saved me so much that I've lost track
  4. Hmmm. Aside from a lease, I've never had to do anything like that. I've paid off a dozen cars and they always just sent the title (which was always in my name already) with a stamp that said lein released xx/xx/20xx. Then when I sold the car I just filled out the back, got it notarized and was done. I'm sure different banks do it differently. I know some of them do electronic titles, where you would have to go to the title dept after it's paid off. Either way, it shouldn't be a big deal. As long as there isn't a big line it's never taken me any longer than 10 minutes to get a title transferred.
  5. You shouldn't have to do anything. The bank should cancel the lein, record doing so, and send you the title.... I had an 02 wrx. Rear end went out when I got it. I'll blame that on the previous owner. The tranny went out and I'll blame that on me launching it hard. The only thing that was subarus fault was the junk fuel lines across the intake that would leak gas when the temperature got below 30. All in all a good car if taken care of.
  6. I just sold about 5 other items though and they didn't hold the funds on them. I also have 100% feedback. I read somewhere they were having a problem with iphone deals, so if you have less than 100 feedback they hold the funds.
  7. The same exact thing just happened to me. I also sold an iPhone on eBay and they are holding the funds.
  8. They are starting to get more tempting though. I'm just so sick of PIGS and Chinese housing moving the market. Fundamentals are out the door right now.... You seem to do a lot of day trading. I'd be interested in what you've been tracking. PM me if you rather not post it.
  9. I knew this was coming...... How's F doing? Unless you closed your positions or you're short an index, you're down since this thread started. As stated before they were LONG term calls.

    HTC EVO

I usually agree with you, but this time I don't. Tell Apple that. Before the iPhone the blackberry was king of the hill. They didn't try to make a "blackberry killer". They started from scratch and made a kick ass phone that did more than anything else available. THAT is what someone else needs to do. Before you say everything has already been thought of, remember the same words came out of the chaiman on the patent office...... 100 years ago.

    HTC EVO

That's half the problem. Every new phone tries to beat or compare itself to the iPhone. Here's a novel idea for the other companies.... Forget the iPhone and INNOVATE something yourself. -posted from my iPhone
  12. I would almost question the 800 score. Your oldest account can't be older than 6 years. And your largest account (mortgage) would have only been six months old. I have looked at a ton of credit reports and that just doesn't add up. They recently changed the rules for "piggy backing" also. So if you were on a parents card before you were 18 that could explain it. Before the rule change your oldest account could have been 10 years, new law changes it to 6 years and boom your score drops 100 points.
  13. Commodore 64. Load *.* wasn't it? Lol. Then I got a 386 with DOS. Can't remember all the specs but IIRC the hard drive was only a few megs.
  14. Just read it on the other thread, after I posted. Nice find.
  15. Today was insane. I just happened to be watching when the dow went down 1000 points in minutes. Someone made millions in a matter of 15 seconds. From what I understand they are cancelling a bunch of trades though. Someone, somewhere screwed up big time. If you aren't convinced GS is going up, you think it's going down but don't want burnt why don't you just put on a long straddle. With enough movement either way you win.
  16. For the love of god man NO! That would in turn create a perpetual energy machine, sending the world into a space time continuim shredding paradox!
  17. Re-route your Air conditioning ducts from the dash to under your hood. Then route them into your intake. Start car. Turn on A/C Set to HIGH Hold on!!! Cause you just made a self intercooled SUUUUUUUPERCHARGER
  18. Very true.... if you have a fund with instant transactions. Most give you the next closing price, ie. an order right now won't fill until tomorrows close. But I agree, down times are when you buy.
  19. What a perfect day to show why indexed funds aren't the way to go. Check out the Dow and s&p right now. The s&p has a negative return over the past ten years btw. Even the most plain portfolios from the fund families I use are up over the same course.
  20. I will keep my response as short as possible, but that is like saying every doctor is just out to make money so don't go to one. Just hop on WebMD instead. I use it all the time, and so far it has been right. (note the sarcasm) Now I am not saying that there aren't dishonest people out there. Ofcoarse there are. Thats why you should interview a few FAs before choosing one, but 99% of people really need to have a Financial Advisor. Some of the smartest guys I know fail at investing. Is it because they don't understand it? No, it's because people let thier emotions get in the way. Does Scottrade make sure you are staying balanced, and diversified. Do they go over your life insurance policies to make sure you aren't over paying, under protected, or over protected. Do they make sure that you aren't doing things creating un-needed tax consequences? Have they ever asked you how much monthly income you will need in retirement, when you want to retire, and laid out an exact plan of what you need to do? What kind of tax free investments do they offer? Most importantly, have you ever met the rep you talk to on the phone? I just can't imagine trusting someone I haven't met. Okay, I'm done. End of rant. Sorry for rambling, but I take that kind of thing personal.
  21. Btw. Clay, or anyone else in the biz for that matter, if you ever wanna grab lunch let me know. We'll start the CR FA crew. Lol. Edit: Just noticed. Are you guys all in Florida??
  22. Sounds good, let me know.
  23. I am a financial advisor and that kind of scenario is what I deal with more than anything. I would be glad to talk to them and show them thier options. I don't charge consolt fees either, so we could atleast talk and they wouldn't be obligated or out any money if they decide not to do anything. PM me and I will give you my number. BTW, I can meet them at thier house or an office in Columbus, whatever is more convenient.
  24. I had a buy BP limit @ 48 Have a couple more, but it never hit the lower thresholds yet.
