I have never heard of that problem with Q16. I have heard about it with VP import. You might as well have added "sucks to be you.... neener neener neener :p" Hook the brother up.

Don't you have an Evo? I have heard a lot of guys loving the extra oxygenation of the Q16 which IIRC is also cheaper. Edit: Maybe it's the same price as C16, but almost as good as VP import

Thats basically 2500 off of their price then. If they drop another thousand and its the car you want, go for it. Like coltboostin said, it's not the best financial decision, but you only live once.

I am not trying to be a dick but classified ads that are currently listed are inflated numbers that people are NOT getting out of their cars in this market. Manheim numbers are REAL sales that happen every day. They ARE the market. ie. if R32s were flying off of lots for 20k I promise they would bring a lot more than 13,2 at the sale I was really just trying to make sure you weren't getting shafted. After hearing the whole story I don't think you are.

Like I said, you are getting a discount they are just showing it in the trade. It doesn't sound as bad. Seems like you really like the R32 so I would go for it.

That's the rest of the story then. Cars are worth what they are worth, when one dealer gives you a substantial amount more on trade they are doing whats called "over allowing" or showing you more than what they will really put in the car. My guess is that they are probably netting 16k out of the R32 from showing you an extra 2 thousand on trade. If that's the case, it seems more reasonable.

If you end up spending 17k do yourself a favor and atleast drive an Evo before you buy a WRX. Don't get me wrong, I liked my old WRX, and even thought about getting another one for a daily but if I was going to spend that much I would get another Evo.

On OBDI can't you just connect two of the pins (I forget which ones right now) and the CEL light will flash in accordance to what the codes are?
