Are you sure it's the ignitor, and not something upstream? From my limited knowledge of heaters, it seems as if it's usually a relay that doesn't work, and the lighter itself is fine. If it is the relay, you might be able to get a compatible one at Radio Shack.

As much as I love snow, I'd also prefer a very watery storm. I've got ice dams all along my apartment's gutters, water dripping in through two windows and the door, and my heater's been turned off for nearly two weeks (fortunately it hasn't dropped below about 65 thanks to how hot the adjacent units keep their spots).

I have a Technics SA-DX930 sitting in my closet that someone gave to me when they bought a house a few years back, and had no use for (old folks were moving to a retirement community, and my friend had all his own gear already).
