To me, a ricer is someone who's somewhat of a poser. Someone who pretends to know alot about autos and modification of autos. Or creates a car that pretends to be something it isn't. This is not inclusive to imports and import owners as I've seen plenty of domestics fall into this category. This also doesn't include someone just because they own a Honda or because the style of auto they enjoy is more for show. Everyone has their own personal tastes. For some, that does not include performance. Yes, there is a fine line between show and rice. Many do not know it.
What I believe to be the real issue here is the lack of respect for others and the bigotry that goes with it. Many of those on here who are so quick to shout ricer has probably made a ricer decision at one point, as well. If someone truly falls into the "ricer" category, why not take a moment to find out what kinda person they really are and point them into the right direction. It hasn't always worked for me, some people are just ricers through and through, but some of those guys/girls are really just needing someone to point them down the right path and are just as eager to take it. I understand some of you will be too cowardly to do this. "Cowardly!", you say. Yes. Think about it.
