  1. Honestly for me, I haven't really changed much of my sanitizing routine. I typically wash my hands after any dirty activity at home like cleaning, taking out the trash, etc. I don't really use hand sanitizer at home, have only ever really used it in 3rd world countries or at outdoor events where I can't readily wash my hands. I have however been using it more when I go into a restaurant, store, or work that has a dispenser on the wall, when I didn't really do that before.
  2. Myself, Wife, and 2 mo old over Thanksgiving all got sick with the same respiratory illness. We NEVER have coughs or get sick at the same time. My little girl 2 months old at the time had it a week or two longer than we did and just slowly got better.

For myself over New Years, I went to bed one night and about 30min in to sleeping, I started to shiver violently, and got really sick for about 24-48hrs.

No idea if its related to this virus or anything but those two were definitely new and different sicknesses than we have gotten in the past.

  3. Since I still have to be at work, I've been going out at lunch and running, walking, or roller blading around the Arena District. It's been pretty dead, but there were more people out yesterday. Roller blading has been nice, because there's so few cars and people out, I'm not in really in any danger of running into anyone...

I need to get some roller blades!

  4. Just avoid handling other peoples balls and you aren't likely to catch anything. It's just good general life advise as well.
Right lol. Plus I think you're allowed government sanctioned outdoor exercise and activities under the governor's order. But you need to stay 6feet away from others I think.

  5. I followed several podcasts for a while and found that many touched on a topic, and I was left wanting to know more. I pretty much made a full transition to audiobooks in mid 2018. I drive a lot for work, so this worked out great for me.

I'm no subject matter expert on this virus, but I have taken the time to learn a little more about it, which has given me a better understanding of what needs to happen to get this under control. People are taking this as they, the Government, are "telling" us what we can and can't do. We are a careless society as a whole and too dismissive of what the Virus task force, the Governor and Dr. Acton are urging us to do and what not to do.

The process to find a vaccine in a perfect setting is likely 6-18 months. And, it take a heck of a lot of chicken eggs. Then we have to hope the vaccine doesn't have long term side effects, like the Den Ngay vaccine did. Complications with that vaccine never showed up until five years later, and in women mostly.

All I'm saying is this is a time to get informed so we can help those around us and share good and productive information. If anyone had other book suggestions, I'm open to read more on this.

    Den Ngay vaccine?? What?

  6. The last couple days I've been hearing chatter that it's coming Thursday or Friday state wide, but who knows, it's just he said she said type of rumors. Someone's friend's brother who works for the Pentagon, stuff like that. Nothing from a legitimate source from what I can tell.
Yeah same here. My friend works for a particular medical company that send them home with letters that gave them permission to travel. Basically to show police if they are stopped. Not sure if they "know" something or if its just precautionary.

  7. Heard that maybe they might try to shut down the city tomorrow to all non essentials. Anyone hearing something similar?

Also, how likely is domestic air travel to be shut down before Thurs?
