  1. Ya all of them are based from the cz but the 13 unlike the 10 or 15 is not full size. They ahd a full size at buckeye outdoors in lacaster last weekend but not as a rental and its the only one they had like that... it feels really nice in my hand so I wanted to see how well it shot before I buy it..
  2. anyone have one? if so I got a couple questions for you.. have you had any common problems with it? do you carry it? And lastly if so would you mind if I got with you and tried it out??? I am looking at this to use for my ccw but no range I found has the compact to rent to see if I like it.. And I really dont waqnt to spend a good amount of change on a gun I have never shot before... The full size seems just a tad to big for me to want to carry it but the compact 13 seems like it would be perfect...
  3. I will wash your car and do your billing reports
  4. Looking around found some very good info here it is : The combustion chamber volume does vary across the Gen III V-8 engine family. We've included a chart listing combustion chamber volumes (including gasket volume) and engine compression ratios. On some engines, like the 10.08:1 compression ratio LQ9 345hp 6.0L Escalade Gen III V-8 engine, installing a set of LS6 cylinder heads without changing the head gasket thickness or swapping in dished pistons would result in almost an 11:1 compression ratio. This would force the use of 100-octane fuel to prevent detonation and yet would not net enough power gain for the hassle--not a winning situation for a street vehicle. In fact, swapping LS6 heads on the aluminum-head-equipped LQ4 or LQ9 6.0L would only result in higher compression. This is because the LQ heads were derived directly from the LS6 heads. This means the LQ intake and exhaust ports are exact copies of the LS6 heads. The main difference is the LQ cylinder head has a 72cc chamber volume while the LS6 head has a 64cc chamber volume. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- so from reading that would you say it is better to use stock lq9 heads get those prted

    WTB LS1 engine

i can get you a complete ls6 for around 2k with 80k on it... pm me if interested in details
  6. NEW SIG PLUS REP FOR YOU MY FRIEND.. and ya there is probably more dirt in there clevage then on my car
  7. i know i was just about to go throgh and see if he said they were sold or not then shoot him a pm
  8. And this is why I asked people here rather than going off readings from ls1tech... I think best bet for money is to just use some ls6 heads (243 I do recall) and getting them ported.
  9. and this is why i dont mind using used parts from people like you to who just want to get rid of their old stuff that is not bad so to speak but its just time for you to upgrade or move on.. This is the kind of parts I want to base my whole build off of. I am so glad I got a guy at work that can port heads for me cause i am under no time constraint so all i need to do is find a set of stock ls6 heads complete or bare as i will need springs etc anyway
  10. dover why dont you just sell all yours toys already and buy your own house lol Good luck with the sale. bump for a clean car
  11. If I was going to do that why would I not by a ls1 with the ls6 manifold already on it???? This is what I am thinking... lq4 short block nice cam ported ls6 heads and intake any anything else if I can find cheaply used like a stroker kit or pistons for spray.
  12. I want to make that much na if I can and I already have some steriod juice for it also... but it being a cheap build and what not I will have to see how good the parts are I get for it to see how much if any juice I want to shoot it up with.
  13. I guess after your srt-4 left you cant hold onto anything lol... jk gl with the sale and I will see if one of our tecs here are interested...
  14. dont know yet but a motor takes up far less room than a shell of a car so while I am building a motor I know I want It gives me time to look at say rx-7, 240sx, 300zx, shells etc etc leaning twords the 240 but not stuck on it maybe also a 280 or who knows at this point. It will be either way a car I beat on and when it breaks i dont get pissed cause it wont have a lot into it.
  15. this is what I am thinking but lq4 or lq9? does it matter if I am getting say ls6 heads anyway??? Why take a lower compression, iron block that weighs what 88 lbs more than the aluminum block??? Not arguing at all with the choise just wondering the basis behinde it. Because I was leaning twords the lq motor so convinse me please
  16. I found in about three minutes of looking a almost entire lq4 long block for 800 but it would need shipped. so that seems like a good route to go. I dont mind buying solid things like a cam or anything used as long as it is in good shape.
  17. I am talking 600 crank hp not whp. And honestly I am going to be happy if I put down over 400whp na all said and done so really it doesnt need to meet 600 crank. sorry i guess I should have been a tad more specific.
  18. I have looked on there forever and there are many routes you could go to make this happen but I wanted to get a opinion on why they feel the way they do about the block they choose.. I will not be buying any vendor parts as they are way to expensive for my build.. I will be looking for deals from local people trying to get rid of things they have bought and dont need. I know cheap and reliable do not go together that is why I said I dont intend for it to be real reliable.
  19. Well with the many many combinations of blocks etc for the ls series motors if you were going to start a mild street build what block do you think would be best to start with...??? Goal is around 600 hp na I want to try and do this for around 3 grand if I can buying used parts where I can and doing things like porting some stock heads etc to save money also.. I am not trying to make this a high milage reliable motor so if it holds up to 10k I would be happy just want something to do in my downtime now and want a good plan of action before I start
  20. lighter flywheel is ok for a dd/ street car you will def notice it revs much fastr so if you do get one its not your clutch slipping
  21. yes can you please post the pay unless it is based on experience i understand
  22. Id be in for sure. is portnoy still their drummer? if so i am all over this
