  1. Are there different a/r options besides this .81?
  2. What track is consistent when it goes from 40 degrees in the morning to 65 degrees during the day and back down to 40 degrees with the sun down? Case in point both cars were on the same track and nobody got "the hit" Carey's car was just tuned for the track conditions better.
  3. You compared mir to ntr??? If the track wasn't good why were there two record passes right after Carey's run?
  4. and 24.5'' tire max for FWD. I'm still on the 67mm. a few changes over the winter for me but nothing major
  5. I'll be at all three. plus the PA event and hopefully get the car done in time for march 3rd NC event.
  6. what class? have you raced this event before?
  7. is anyone planning on attending/racing at this event? I've been there the last 4 years and i'll keep going every year as well. huge crowd, tons of racers imports and domestics going at it. watch the videos of past years. huge vendor midway setup with parts for sale as long as apparel. if anyone has the weekend free head over you won't regret it. fri/sat is qualifying and setup then sunday is all elims with the car show and bikini contest http://importsvsdomestics.com/
  8. it was a great race... i was behind you in first round watching you guys go at it instead of doing my burnout. I knew it was going to be close. Yes James knows his car very well been racing it for a long time so being that close on a car you don't know very well was awesome. hope to see you out again.
  9. nice. what are you using for boost control?
  10. yeah the 4 ports are a lot better but the boost is there quicker and holds steadier with co2. no need to wait for manifold pressure. http://www.msdignition.com/Products/RPM/Timing_Controls/RPM_Controls/7562_-_Programmable_Launch_Boost_Controller.aspx go down toward the bottom and you can download the pro data software. instructions, wiring, editor is all on it under help menu. Really the only thing that takes a bit settin up are the PID's
  11. using co2 is just replacing the manifold pressure. except the pressure is always being applied to the solenoids not having to wait for manifold pressure to build up. when you set the boost controller to run 30psi weither it be at a certain gear/time/rpm it's always there. spool time is faster, holds boost more steady than manifold pressure, and you can run the lowest spring pressure you can and still run pretty much as much boost as you want. running a small spring on the wg off manifold pressure and you won't see as much max boost so you would have to run a higher wg spring then you run into issues controlling traction off the launch and in lower gears. after running co2 and getting it dialed in you won't want to change back.
  12. Yeah ams1000. It's easier to graph what boost and where exactly you want it on the msd since it's on the laptop instead of a 3" screen that's all push button. Drag and click. Connect the dots pretty much
  13. Had the ams...don't get me wrong I liked it but wasn't the most user friendly to setup quicky between passes. I'm on the msd 7562 which is basically the same direction the ams is with co2 it's just laptop controlled and also datalogger. It's time based Also like the ams...oh and a lot cheaper
  14. yeah 9.91@152...119mph to the 1/8. that pass was a 4.42 330'. i've been 4.2 before so i got the controller setup where it should be now so should be ready next time out. really hoping to go 4.0-4.1 330' and 6.2x 1/8 we will see.
  15. yeah it's either that or wait until september ifo up here
  16. i'm trying to head out for july 5th if they are having one that day since the holiday. see what it's like out there and try to race against TPR's civic for a rematch.
  17. testing out new boost controller on first pass. not bad considering no data from this controller yet. very promising considering what the logs looked like. once i get boost where it needs to be in first and 2nd short track will drop a lot. i let off twice on this pass in first and 2nd gear to calm it down.
  18. We will be out again with a few new toys
  19. this is a little helpful but not as much as actually having a good datalogging software. the more data you can record to go back through and evaluate the better. We've seen a lot of good info on learing turbo shaft speed and backpressure data so we are adding that into the mix this year.
  20. you know I'll be out a both events. FWD class for me going through the things I was lacking last year so I should be able to get the car under control this year
