I'm heading out friday to run some test passes and maybe get into the index classes again. gates open at noon test n tune starts at 2 and qualifying starts at 6:30. looks like the rain is going to hold off for the most part friday but not the rest of the weekend.
earth angel super cruise in is june 18th at lancaster, ohio fairgrounds. It's always a huge car show with top notch cars. Anyone one here planning on going? There isn't much info on their site but registration opens at 9am. i haven't showed a car their for years but I believe the trophys are all 6ft. trophys
I'm down for friday so lmk. I probably won't index run may just test n tune so I can try to dial in for a faster pass. it has the mph to go high 9 at the boost it's at right now.
I hate this keyboard anyway makes my fingers tired
thanks. I was in it the whole time on those 10.0x passes. I wasn't gonna lift if I brokeout I would've been happy with that as well. shooting for those deep 9 sec passes next. We went out just looking to do a few test passes and ended up going through the whole race.
I took the civic up to trails yesterday to run the index 1 class which was 9.0 and 10.0. ended up doing the 10.0 to try and get some testing done and went really good considering our type of cars aren't usually too consistent to index race with.
first pass off the trailer went 10.03@147mph which put me in the #1 qual spot for the day. 1st round of elims went 10.02@143mph against a challenger who went 9.98 break out. ended up beating all the 10.0 cars so at the end they ran the #1 9.0 car agains me. He took me out in the finals. I got itchy and short shifted 2-3 and lost a little boost and went 10.3 to his 9.1. All in all had a great day out there racing with a bunch of bad ass muscle cars and coming runner up. plus I won all my money back I had in the day plus a nice trophy. can't wait to get back out and dial in/turn up the boost to see what the car will really do. Think it's time for a new set of slicks they were trying to let loose all the way at the top of the track.

Are the index classes open to any type of vehicle at this race? The only one we've been part of was in jersey. Do we get two test runs then we choose the index class we run from that point or does the class need chosen at tech before hand? I'd really like to head out and run the 10.0 index
What makes a genesis more exciting then watching a honda? Have you guys really paid attention to the big races or just Tnt around this area? Not saying that a genesis will be a bad car because it won't your right once they are out for a bit and get some tech under the belt they will move. Drive a 160+ 1/4 mile fwd and tell me it's not exciting. A whole different game.
reliable if you do it right and take care of the car. That is just some of the peoples problems they throw a cheap setup on and run the piss out of it 24/7and wonder why it broke.
We were at the race and there was breaking coming from both sides. We just tend to push ours harder to see what they will do and it doesn't always work out for the good.
Then go on yellowbullet and see what car won wild street. I'll save you the time...a honda did and it beat a mid 8 sec vette. I like all these cars but i've been to this race for 3 years in a row and it's far from a domestic won all event. they set up the classes so evenly it's anybodys race.
dogbox
solid mounts
testing new cams
hpc coating all piping
corner balance/alignment
that's the shortest winter list i've had on a car for at least 10 years
They pulled him out. This was the second year in a row that car caught fire at that race. in 09' it was a nitrous backfire. it was during qual and they got it back together for elims.
