See the drag guys have to spend over 5K+ after bolt ons to knock seconds off their 1/4 mile time. Whereas turning requires a change in tire pressures, or alignment when it comes to winning or looseing. To each their own when it comes to racing and their cars, but let's face it. There is only so much you can do to go fast in a straight line. Then once your out of money you continue to do the same thing over and over and over again expecting a different result and...well...you know the rest. Although it would be entertaining to have a 4 run autocross with a 5th run down a 1/4 mile which would be added to your best of the 4 initial runs. Best of both worlds and you don't get sick of driving in a straight line.

Another little thing are the wheel speed sensors that they have had numerous TSB's on. Otherwise my boss has a '03 Yukon that he usues to tow his toys and has had 0 issues trans wise and motor wise. He also is very religious on maintenance.

I will verify octanes and prices, but Keith's Sunoco on Indianola Avenue just South of Cooke Road has race fuel. I know they have 110 and 116, they mentioned one other but I can't remember I would assume 100. They said they are competitive if not cheaper than Valero on Hamilton road. Sign on the front confirms they have it, just go in and ask. They asked me to spread the word. I will start a thread with verified octanes and prices in the next couple of days!

Confirm the timing belt service has been completed. This should be done around 105K IIRC.

Another thing to consider is that the SSC weighs about half as much as the Veyron and just out runs it. Veyron isn't doing to bad for a 4K pound car.....

Holy shit, that is crazy to think about the engineering behind this thing. The Bugatti is a fantastic car, I don't know why people would rag on it. It has so much history behind it compared to the SSC which is almost a kit car with a fancy interior.

I just got the results from the event, thanks to everyone that showed up. PCA needs to keep getting more people involved so they can keep putting these on. They barely break even at some of their events, so the more the merrier. Next one will be Sunday August 15th at the OSU Ackerman parking lot where SCCA usually runs their events. Same times, I'll start a new thread once we get a little closer to the event.
