It's rally racing....this should not be any suprise. This shit happens pretty often, you can stand anywhere because you can't possibly control the area of where the stages move to. People are going to stand close and as Pat and I saw at STPR there are def. people who don't attend motor sports events frequently to understand the "norm" for spectating. Hell we were sitting 4-5 ft away from the cars through a fast section under braking where the cars pendulum swing into a tight left hander. It's part of the sport.

Buy anything, if it's not AWD put snow tires on it and your done. If you don't care about drag racing people in the snow, you'll be fine. Drove a G35 last winter in 5" of snow with snow tires on it and it felt fantastic, not as good as my Subaru, but for a RWD car it was really nice. Depends on your needs, A to B, buy snow tires and pick a car. Play...AWD.

Me personally buying used, if it has more than 150K it is too much for most cars because by that time they sell for less money and as that happens they sell to people who generally cannot afford to take care of it properly so things start going south. If you can find one with TIMING BELT records that the waterpump and rollers were replaced. I would expect to do that right after you buy it. That is me personally because I trust VERY few people when it comes to working on cars the right way. Word of mouth is not enough proof for me, it's easy to agree and say yeah that was done.

Leave early....usually they are into fun runs by like 4 ish. There still won't be many there. We got 6 runs on a 80+ second course last time at OSU and that was with like 37 cars which was their largest turnout. Remember, they run both parking lots usually as one big monster course.

Gonna be too hot for me....it's an excellent show. Our service writer is one of the main guys that puts the show on. He was on 610 this morning talking about it. Usually some really neat stuff out.

Time - 8:30-10AM is Walk in Registration.....no online registration available. Every make model is invited, you run X class if you don't have a MB or Porsche. Great for first-timers, lot's of seat time and VERY friendly people. I may swing by, but will probably not run due to heat and the car not being ready. It is acceptable for a manager to fire you on the spot upon receiving your 2 weeks notice in the automotive world because at that point it's up to them whether or not they can trust your work for the next 2 weeks. The last guy that left the shop (which doesn't happen often) stayed his 2 weeks because of his relationship with the shop. Especially if your a tech, since a customer's safety is in our hands. If you mess something up it falls back on the employer....

All of the Berg' videos are the shit. They run the stage both ways as 2 separate stages. They run slow to fast just like any other rally, the Mercedes obviously being one of the faster cars is the last to run. Or they run it both ways and average the runs as 1 stage... You are seeing all of the other cars in the rally...the slower ones.

Motorcycle patrol standing on Colerain (residential) shooting traffic coming from Indianola headed West on Cooke in the A.M. hours. Seen them there sporadically over the past several days on my way to work. Nailing people left and right since it's 25mph....

+1 SWACO in Grovetucky.....I71 South to the exit for 665 (first exit after Stringtown road). Hang a right and it is on the left less than a mile down 665. We dumped about 1600lbs worth for less than $40. When I go with Pat I'm pretty sure it's less than $10.

We had a 6.2 Suburban with a Banks Turbo kit and 3" exhaust. It was bad ass to say the least. Didn't have it for long due to Dad can't decide what he wants to keep. It is definitely the truck he should have kept though. That thing was awesome...
