  1. For various reasons, I don't have anything fast or fun to drive at the moment and its killing me. It may sound kind of stupid, but when I don't have something fun to drive/race I go through withdrawals
  2. The first one was the only good one. Yeah all the rice and corny shit is what made it entertaining. All the ones after that were just boring garbage
  3. Saw it on craigslist a couple weeks ago. What all is done to it?
  4. What exactly happened with Bruce Hooley? I never figured that out, I just remember one day he was gone. I also think Craig Krenzel does a great job when he's on. Bobby Carpenter isn't bad either.
  5. Common Man & Torg are awesome. Who cares if you think they are idiots? The show is three hours of entertainment and they always have something interesting to talk about. When I worked in a warehouse I would listen to 97.1 from 1 to 6 every day. I liked Holy and Spielman's show, and I like Rothman and Stanley's show too
  6. 3800 for life GXP is an LS4 though
  7. Grandprixforums.net or 3800pro.com Clubgp used to be great but last time I checked was several years ago, and it was turning to shit
  8. I agree with this completely. I feel like were on the same page for the most part, and I enjoyed hearing your point of view
  9. Tim, I understand your point but I'm not sure you're getting mine. I still think you're reading way too much into this. If I could afford a new car, maybe my line of thinking will be different. Until then I'll keep depending on my ancient 90s stuff. If you would be willing to spend 60k on something built by a company with a reputation of their products living a very short lifespan, that's your call. Truthfully, anyone with that kind of money won't care how well it holds up after 100k anyway. It will be traded in several years before then for 15% of the sticker price.
  10. Exactly. You're right at the mark when you can expect a lot of general maintenence. It might nickel and dime you for a while, but it should be smooth sailing for a long time after that. Hopefully the trans was already replaced. They were junk on those cars
  11. Cut it off with a sharp knife
  12. You're reading way too much into this. Its quite simple. Look at my response below... They will change my opinion when they prove their newer cars hold up better than the garbage they built in the 90s. Only time will tell. It doesn't have to be problem free to 250k, but expecting a car to last that long on the original drivetrain isn't unreasonable.
  13. I didn't read it. Won't change my opinion anyway. My initial point was that I think its dumb to judge a car's reliability when its brand new or only a few years old. If you think Hyundai builds a quality car, fine. Forgive me if I'm not so quick to jump on the bandwagon
  14. An 06 with 98k? Cool. If you still have it in 10 years and there's 250k on the odometer, that's when I would brag about it being reliable.
  15. Just personal preference from what I've heard and seen first hand. I know several people that have had the misfortune of owning accents and elantras back in the 90s. Yes that's a small sample size since there were a million that were made, but every single one I saw/drove/rode in/worked on/knew of was garbage. Even when they were fairly new. Were they all that bad? I'm sure not all of them, but it was enough to turn me off of hyundai forever. They didn't have one good quality other than fuel economy. The build quality was terrible, they were ugly and uncomfortable, no features, drove like crap, and fell apart at 100k. If you go to a junkyard sometime, you'll notice that all the hyundais are generally newer and have less mileage than any other brand of car in the yard.
  16. I said '89, not '99. As far as that "review" is concerned, I don't think you can tell if a car as recent as 2009 is unreliable or not
  17. Seriously? I would take the reliability/quality of a 1989 Cavalier over any Elantra/Accent that was 10 years newer. Dead serious.
  18. Exactly. Every car is nice when its brand new. Let's see how it is in 10 or 20 years. If its like any other Hyundai from the past, it will fall apart well before 150k miles. Are their current cars better quality than the junk ass shitboxes they have always built? Only time will tell. One things for sure, I wouldn't spend 60k to find out.
  19. 60k for a hyundai  And why the fuck is an 8-speed trans necessary?
  20. Very nice Mustang! I love the color choice. I just don't understand why Ford put such horrible looking wheels on those cars
  21. How did you hear about CR? Do you know anyone on here? What are your plans for your next car? What have you owned in the past? Pics of the Breeze?
  22. Hell yeah! Looks like an awesome time
  23. This Wiggs guy is proof that money can't buy common sense or people skills
