  3. yeah i gotta lot of old baseball and especially football cards. one of them mark brunell game ball cars and they spelled brunell's name wrong. that shits gotta be worth something right?
  4. Dodge Ram Cummins (not quite 25mpg but close enough), or any Subaru
  5. Any chance you could find someone local or semi-local on tech that wants to trade their mild built T56 for your 4L60 and converter?
  6. If you're keeping it auto, honestly I'd just leave it how it is. If you're looking at a vette or something soon, I wouldn't spend a lot of time and money switching everything up after you got it to where it is
  7. Check the sticker in the glovebox for the RPO ZR2. I can tell you right now its not a ZR2 though, but if you want to know the differences, read this... http://www.s10extremist.org/tech_articles/zr2_comparison.htm Yeah, you can tell just by looking at the engines, as the TBI engine looks completely different than the Vortec. Both are great and very reliable, but the Vortec is more powerful. Most 2nd gens were Vortecs, but I'm pretty sure some of the early ones (94-96) had the TBI.
  8. The maroon '95? That doesn't appear to be a ZR2, just a regular 4x4, although there wasn't a big difference anyway. No reason to lower a 4x4, lift it if anything. Is it a TBI or Vortec motor?
  9. My S10 wishes it was half as nice as yours
  10. Although this is pretty much true, I did see a few really clean/cheap/stock 4wd S10 pickups/Blazers when I was looking last month. They are hard to find though. Same thing with 1st gen S10's. Most of them are either beat and rusted to hell, or they are painted some awful color with a custom (hideous) interior and a half assed carbed V8 swap. It's so hard to find one in good shape that's original and been taken care of. Maybe down south, but pretty rare to find up here.

  12. I agree with those guys. Both engines are reliable, but get the V6. Gas mileage isn't much different, and they are much more pleasant to drive. I had a regular cab S10 Xtreme with a 2.2, and it was ridiculously slow. I have a '91 S10 with a TBI 4.3 and 5-speed, and I really like it. You said you want a newer (2000's) truck, those have the Vortec 4.3 which I've driven several times and that motor performs really well for a truck that size. If you're tall (6'2" or more) I'd recommend getting an extended cab. There isn't a lot of leg room in the regular cabs and it can get uncomfortable on road trips. As far as winter driving goes, both mine were lowered 2WD trucks and I had zero issues in the snow.
  13. It's refreshing to see a modified VW with nice wheels/tires that fit appropriately. That's a pretty rare thing these days. Great looking car, and awesome intro. Welcome
  14. Yeah, that definitely makes sense. It sounds like that's the problem
  15. Hmm, good info. I think it's vacuum operated, I guess I'll have to look into it more but at least I have an idea now. Thanks
  16. The air conditioning blows cold, but air stopped coming out of the vents. If you switch the knob to select the floor or defrost it works fine, blows out nice and strong, but when you switch it back to the vents barely any air comes out at all, no matter what speed. It sounds like there is air coming from the vents even though there isn't, and it stops coming out the floor like it should when you select the vent setting, so I don't think it's the control switch. I pulled out the fan motor to see if the evap core was clogged or there was any blockage, but it was clean. What do I do next?
  17. As a Gator fan, last year opened up my eyes. Meyer had JOHN BRANTLEY running the option, having him split time at QB along with a backup TE (Reed) and an "athlete" (Burton) that had no business taking snaps, while running the most predictable and ineffective offense in the conference, allowing his buddy Steve Addazio to continue calling the plays with his dive/dive/sack/punt bullshit, and so on. Meyer knew he would be leaving, so he didn't bother firing his buddy even though Addazio had no business coaching anything but the offensive line (which he also sucked at). Meyer gave up last year, and a terrible season was the result. He should have stayed retired. Thank God for Will Muschamp. As far as OSU is concerned, I like Fickell but I have a feeling OSU will clean house in order to rid themselves of the "dirty program" label. Maybe I am wrong, it just seems they are trying to distance themselves from Tressel as much as possible, which doesn't bode well for the current staff. I wouldn't be surprised if Gene Smith gets the boot as well.
  18. GO GATORS If Urban Meyer goes to OSU next year, have fun with that Buckeye fans. He's a GREAT coach, when he actually feels like coaching
  19. About time! I hope you got very close to your asking price, that's a nice car. I'm shocked it didn't sell sooner
  20. I took everyone's advice and used a lawyer for some really serious speeding tickets before, and what a huge waste of money that was. The lawyer didn't do shit for me. IMO if you're going to plead guilty, you're a lot better off getting a public defender. You'll get driving privileges under your suspension which I'm assuming will be 6 months for you
