  1. def. a solid car for the money. for the record i got my '97 w/ 119k in great condition for 3k
  2. Yeah, what he said. My wheel bearings started to go, my low coolant sensor went flakey, and I hjad to replace my upper coolant elbow/accessory belt/pulley and the alternator bracket thing. The headlights were faded but I replaced mine with aftermarket black ones. The tails were shitty too, they leaked moisture in them ,s o i found a nice set and tinted them truth Yeah, that recall shit gets fixed for free, and the tranny will likely hold up if the car is mostly stock. Check the SC oil though, make sure its full, that shit smells mile rotting animal shit though
  3. Yeah the key has the damn chip thing. Thiking its the ignition switch or the key fucking up. Oh well only time will tell
  4. if none of these fucks b4 me take it i wil gladly take it...im broke as fuck but i will somehow manage to come up with the money thast shit it too good of a deal
  5. About three years ago, I was driving my '92 Camaro RS (305 TBI 700R4) and I went to eat at Pizza Hut or some shit. When I went to leave I tried to start the car, and it did nothing. The lights and everything still worked, but it wouldn't even try to crank. It made no sound whatsoever when I would try to start it. But for whatever reason 10 minutes later it started up fine no problem, and I never had another issue with it. Fast forward to today. I hadn't driven the car in 4-5 days, but there have been times when I haven't driven it for weeks and it'll still start right up. Well today it did that same exact shit it did 3 years ago. I tried putting it in neutral and starting it (in case it was the neutral safety switch acting up) and it didn't help. I said fuck it and took my other car to work, figuring maybe it's another fluke again and it'll be fine later. Well I came back after work tonight and sure enough, I tried to start it, and it fired right up. So, whats the deal? It's only happened twice in 3 years/20k miles. Is this a starter issue? Battery? Something inside the key or ignition switch fucking up?
  6. Yeah I was only like 9 when I got it, but I listened to it so much it eventually wore out and scratched and shit, and I ended up buying it again when I was in high school and still listen to it every now and then. Nice chill, relaxing music
  7. Congrats! The first CD I ever bought was a Collective Soul cd (back in '95, the first album they ever released IIRC). I've loved them ever since and still listen to them. I have a few of their later albums as well. PS, every single track on their 1st cd was awesome

  9. FYI, the '97-'98 were slightly different than the '99-'03. VERY slight differences (PCM, coolant overflow bottle location, air intake design, etc). '97 had different PCM and no traction control on/off option. I think there were also some slight interior changes, but you're basically getting the same car with any year so I wouldn't rule out any '97-'03 if I were you, although the '99+ seem to hold their value better. I had a '97 coupe, bone stock when I got it at 119k, and after modding it a little drove it for a year, got rid of it at 135k before I took it any further with mods and would've had to replace the tranny. Like others have said, once you get a little deeper with mods, it's only a matter of time before you kiss the stock tranny goodbye. Basically the only weak link of these cars once you start adding power is the transmission. It was an awesome car though. PERFECT daily driver, basically everything you could possibly want for a daily. All the info you'll ever need can be found at clubgp.com
  10. I'll sell you my nice speakers/amp/cd player out of my '92 Camaro, I just got them last week, they sound nice! Dude, third gens are easy as fuck to get into, a monkey could do it. I'm surprised they even popped the trunk lock, there are much easier ways to get into them. Just wedge something really long between the window and roof/door pillar across to the other side and hit the unlock button. It really is that easy. Thats why mine still has a stock radio in it. I know this from when a friend locked my keys in it. Works really well
  11. Great intro, nice cars. Welcome
  12. Paint, wheels, etc....just a little TLC and it'll be a damn nice car. Welcome
