  1. Where has Jones been? Haven't seen him post on CR in a coon's age
  2. If you really like the truck, I would do it for $2800 even if it's a bit more than I wanted to pay originally. What's a couple hundred bucks in the grand scheme of things, ya know? I still think it's a fair deal
  3. Crazy stuff, man. Yeah I can imagine something like that would shake up most people. I am fortunate enough to have never been in an accident (knock on wood), nor have I ever witnessed a major accident. And I drive several hundred miles a week for work so I'm always out on the road. Hopefully my good luck will continue and I didn't just jinx myself. Hopefully the driver is OK. Makes you wonder what the hell caused her to lose control
  4. Saw this on 670 a short while ago http://i.imgur.com/8svvifal.jpg
  5. ^ This. That white truck a couple posts back looks awesome
  6. I would rather drive a hurricane damaged Cavalier than a Sebring or anything else with that boat anchor 2.7
  7. That Roadmaster posted above looks great! Also, don't forget to consider a Fleetwood (also LT1 powered)..... I would avoid an F-body if you need seating for 4. You can kinda maybe have adults in the back if you really need to, but finding legroom will be a struggle. Also, regarding the Park Avenue, keep in mind that a simple set of cheap wheels will make the car look 100x better. Here's my $800 car..... Here it is after a set of $200 Bullitts.....
  8. Yep, that's it I think the shitty ad with no details and a shit picture and no phone number listed kind of worked in my favor. When I responded to the ad, some guy emailed me back and told me to call his sister as the car belonged to her and he was just the one who listed the ad for her. It took a few tries to get in touch, and when I eventually got out there to see the car, I had to put gas in it. Your average craigslist buyer wouldn't have bothered with any of that. The car belonged to a lady in her 60's, I guess it originally belonged to her husband before he passed away. She had multiple back surgeries and struggled getting in/out of the Camaro so it was no use to her. I think she really likes the Buick. She was pretty awesome, she even tried to give me her credit card when I said I would run into town to get gas for it
  9. Thanks everyone. I'll probably just put a couple hundred as the purchase price. I've done that several times before and never had an issue. Clean up the interior, add a decent sounding catback exhaust, that's about it. No big plans for it yet. Maybe several years down the road that might change, but for now I just want to drive it on nice days and enjoy it how it is. I have a 4x4 truck for that
  10. Great looking truck
  11. So one question.....since the car was acquired through trade, can I put $0 as the purchase price on the title? I've done this the past but not in several years, do they still allow this? I've heard that they make you put the "trade value" now but I'm not sure how true that is?
  12. Straight into the trash once I got home
  13. 8th character is E. It's the L03 "truck motor". Most people don't even realize you could get an IROC with it because like you said, most were TPI. I'm already a member of TGO actually, I used to have a '92 RS
  14. For the past year or so I've been daily driving a Buick Park Avenue Ultra that I found on craigslist for dirt cheap, and it's been nothing short of awesome. I constantly brag about how it's a perfect daily driver and how it's such a great car in so many ways. So, naturally, I ended up getting rid of it today. Here's what I got in exchange..... It's an '89 Camaro IROC-Z. It has the base 305 TBI motor (the majority of IROC's were tuned port 305 or 350) with an automatic, 15" wheels (most IROC were 16's) and crank windows. T-tops. Red/red. All stock and original, and only 66k miles. Runs and drives great. It needs a little TLC and there's a bit of rust and peeling clearcoat, but overall it seems solid. Drove it home topless...... I gave it a quick bath, and it cleans up pretty well..... I'll miss the Buick, but I'm very happy with the trade.
  15. https://mansfield.craigslist.org/cto/d/1999-buick-park-avenue-ultra/6281191860.html https://dayton.craigslist.org/cto/d/2002-buick-park-ave-ultra/6272838301.html Cars of today will be faster and get better fuel mileage, so obviously take that into consideration. There are a lot of great options others have listed in this thread. But for an older luxury car with a bulletproof engine that is very cheap/easy to maintain, the price is definitely right. You can't get a more comfortable car. And it beats having a car payment
  16. Hell yeah, that sounds fucking great
  17. Honda makes the cars, LINDSAY makes the difference Those commercials just give me a weird feeling about that place. The guy strikes me as a pretentious shyster douchebag
  18. And if you don't wanna look like a grandpa, all it takes is a set of cheap wheels... http://i.imgur.com/hJJgvJVl.jpg
  19. You mentioned the mighty 3800 so I feel obligated to mention a Buick Park Avenue. You could find a '97-'05 L67 supercharged (Ultra) low mileage and mint condition for a few grand from some retired/deceased blue haired geezer. I fucking love my Park Avenue. I swear it's the best daily driver out there (for the money). When this thing dies I'll just replace it with a lower mileage one.
  20. Cruze diesel, Impala LTZ, Buick Lacrosse or Regal GS, Cadillac ATS
  21. Florida looks like shit. Michigan is letting them hang around but should really be up by 30+ points. This game isn't close
  22. Well Earl Campbell Sr is one hell of a legend, I don't blame his son for trying to make a name for himself
