  1. Bateman is the guy who got beat out by Jalen Hurts. The same Jalen Hurts who would be 3rd string if he played at OSU
  2. Strong was an EXCELLENT coordinator at Florida. I don't know why that success didn't translate to his defenses at Texas, but he did a great job at UF as the DC and was also great at recruiting.
  3. imgur is where it's at Photobucket can go straight to hell
  4. I had a Chromebook, and it was OK. I ended up giving it to my mother. I am perfectly fine with buying refurbished. Is a SSD really that much better? Both those examples you posted would fit the bill, but I really want a number pad on the keyboard and a bigger screen (15" maybe? I think that's what I currently have). I'm probably being too picky considering my budget.
  5. Get at me when he has to face a real defense
  6. I wish Florida didn't have 8 starters injured and actually had some form of offense so they could stick it to Bama. Jalen Hurts is overrated
  7. Good stuff, thanks! Ideally I would like to spend less than $300 but I'm not sure what that'll get me if I'm buying new. If I can get a better used laptop for $150 I would prefer to go that route.
  8. C5 or GTO if you want a back seat or CTS-V if you want 4 doors /thread Personally I would look for an LS swapped 3rd gen Camaro, but I'm weird like that
  9. CR, please help. I have a Compaq laptop I bought on craigslist several years ago for $50. I love it. All I've done to the thing is uninstall Vista (POS) and install XP (best OS ever made) and it's been great. All I really use it for is browsing the internet, and occasionally Microsoft Word and Paint Shop Pro. Now that XP is no longer supported, I guess I need to get with the times and get something more up to date. Especially since this thing has a fucking Celeron processor. Yeah, I'm long overdue for an upgrade. Here's the thing, I use my girlfriend's laptop from time to time, I think it's an Anus or Asus or something? It's newish, and has Windows 8 or 10 or whatever, and I can't fucking stand it. It has your typical "new laptop" bloatware installed on it, and the new version of Windows is set up like an iphone or something. I hate the interface, there's too much going on. Even trying to execute the simplest of functions is annoying. Maybe I just need to get used to it? And every time I use the thing, it makes me download/install an update which always takes 15 minutes. It doesn't give me the option to tell it NO, it forces me to update and restart. Dumb dumb dumb. Here's the other thing, my current laptop has a nice wide screen, and a number pad. I refuse to purchase any laptop that doesn't have a number pad on the keyboard. So I guess that's my only requirement. Oh and I also don't want to spend much, because I'm not using it for gaming or anything fancy. In summary: I love XP Use laptop for internet and Word The simpler, the better. I don't want a ton of icons and bullshit everywhere MUST have a num pad on the keyboard Should I buy new? If so, from where? I don't want all the BS add-ons that come with your typical store bought laptop. Should I buy used? If so, what should I look for that doesn't suck?
  10. Rivalry week already. Holy shit the time flies. Florida just beat LSU, on the road, with half their defense injured and a Purdue reject at QB. Next up, beating Free Shoes University. Fuck the Semenholes and their deep throating mascot. Seriously look at the FSU logo, he's obviously taking a cock straight into his tonsils. GO GATORS
  11. That might be one of my favorite cars on CR. Great work as always, Tim
  12. Anything with a 3800 V6 would be a good buy
  13. If Florida beats Alabama by one point in the SEC title game, should Alabama be excluded from the playoff?
  14. Posting for a friend, 2014 vrod anniversary edition 675 miles $13,900 Call or text Jason for additional details, 614-483-9914 http://i.imgur.com/blFGQN8l.jpg http://i.imgur.com/C7ENZFbl.jpg
  15. Decent tires are all you need. Nothing else matters. I would be more concerned about the salt ruining whatever car you'll be driving.
  16. My friends and I used to steal political signs, or swap them with a sign for the opponent. Replace a Bush sign with a Kerry and vice versa. This was in high school though.
  17. +1 more for Grandprixforums.net Clubgp and 3800pro are pretty much dead but there's still good info for reference
  18. In 2003, Valvoline Instant Oil Change left my filter loose. Lost half my oil by the time I got home. I've changed the oil myself ever since. In 2007, Tuffy charged me something ridiculous to install a pair of mufflers on my GTP. First the manager argued that my direct fit aftermarket mufflers wouldn't work because he thought I had a single in, dual out from the factory. He put my car up on the lift to "show me I was wrong" only to be proven wrong himself. They installed the mufflers and got them "as straight as they could" which was crooked as fuck. Looked like Stevie Wonder had lined up the tips. I took it to Mad Hatter and they literally fixed them in three minutes. In 2008, got a hole in a heater hose and it pissed coolant all over the place. Shut off the car before it got too hot and coasted into the Eastland Mall parking lot. I pushed it to the Firestone there and had them look at it. They tried to tell me I needed a new heater core because "you can't remove the heater hoses without destroying the core." I called them on their BS and when I said I would have it towed somewhere else, they agreed to replace the hose. Speaking of heater cores, I replaced mine in my truck a couple months back, and didn't feel like flushing the cooling system myself. There's a Tuffy literally half a mile from my house, so against my better judgement I decided to give them a shot. It's just a coolant flush, it couldn't possibly be a problem. Before I even handed him the keys, the manager tried to tell me I needed intake gaskets. LOL, shut the fuck up. Then he tried to tell me my radiator cap wasn't pressurizing the system properly. And at the end of the day, charged me $20 extra because "it took longer than we expected since there was a lot of crap in there." Those are just my experiences. They pale in comparison to some others I know.
  19. Well yeah, there are exceptions to every rule. I'm sure all of the aforementioned stores have good techs working at various locations, but I think overall, there are a lot more bad chain stores than good. I know so many people that have been screwed by chain shops because they didn't know any better. Paying $1800 for a catalytic converter replacement because "it's a Pontiac and you can't get parts for them anymore" or paying $800 for pads and rotors because "it's a Honda and foreign cars are more complicated to work on," etc. I've heard so many horror stories of these places doing more harm than good, customers paying outrageous money only for them to fuck it up worse than it already was. Then having them "fix" it again to the point where they need towed to a dealership to be fixed the right way. I've personally used Tuffy and Firestone for stupid shit before and never had a positive experience. Same goes for literally every person I know who has ever used them. I think the bad stores outweigh the good by a huge margin.
  20. Yup. Firestone, Midas, Tuffy, all those types of places suck cock. I don't understand how they get any business whatsoever.
