Thinking back on past presidents its always been like this. People build drama on select things. I bet you could go back and find a few things the past presidents did that got a lot of publicity and people bitching for no reason at all. The main difference with Obama is that since he is mixed people have a different card they can play. I feel the color does have some to do with it.. but the majority do it with him for the same reason they did it with past presidents... they didnt vote for him so their mindset is "He's not my president". And this is way off topic.. but our country is all kinds of fucked up and I dont see a happy ending in sight. The world is advancing past us and since we were the bullys in the past we have a big bullseye on our back. In the end people should worry more about what hes doing for the country as a whole and stop caring about a bs 35 minute speech (no matter what side of the argument you are on). Bottom line is a stay in school message doesnt hurt anyone.

I will agree that paying that much for tickets after seeing how the buckeyes played is a little strange. Its not fun to be there if your team is losing. So far this year the team hasnt given me a reason to have that much faith in them. I'm going to stay a Buck fan.. but not a $1000 ticket buying buck fan ya know... I really do hope we get our stuff together this week.

What I posted was some of the views of a woman that found out her kids had to watch it today after she had already sent them to school. She didnt feel she had a choice and was very upset. I wanted to see how CR would react. Mudcrutches post summed it up when he said its her (my) fault for not watching the news and staying up to date on current events. I personally think if the president wants to tell my kids to stay in school there is nothing wrong with it at all. If he wants to talk to them about health care reform that would be a different story. I dont see anything wrong with my kids seeing his face and hearing a stay in school message. Its really no different than one of the actors on the disney channel saying the same thing.

If we can get 20 people to pay $500 I see an epic event in CR's future! All the reading I have found all say between 160 and 165. It would be safe to assume mid 170's is doable depending on outside conditions. I do know when I tried to peg my speedo (in mexico) the front end started to lift... some scary stuff.

Its obvious you have kids based on your repsonses. You actually have the exact same views as me... So... The truth of the matter is that the Hilliard schools had such a big response that they decided not to show it and sent us a link to watch it with our kids at home if we wanted to. I got that email about 3 weeks ago. My argument was if I was in the place of those parents that didnt get the choice. I read online that many parents found out after it happened. I thought it was a pretty good argument until mudcrutch pointed out the fact that it was in the news for weeks. The only thing I could think about to offset that was if the parent had to work.. but with all the time I spend online I couldnt link that to myself so I dodged it a little. If he would have came back afterwards he could have gone for the KO.. but he never came back. Ultimately I think it's good for the children to see who the president is and to see that he cares about them. If it was a ploy to get votes I would object, but it seemed sincere. There are too many people that disprespect our leader and this is a good way to stop the next generation from doing it to future leaders. I could be wrong but thats how I feel.
