  1. No dog in this fight but when you said SS I thought you meant the SS Sedan. You have a caddy sedan and thus why I suggested what I did.
  2. Started in technology and software, then SAS all within the healthcare space some financial systems, moved to management, did two years of consulting on my own and jumped back into healthcare and love it. I did sell cars in college, but then I grew up in the business so it was in my blood as they say.
  3. I have too but mainly from a buddy with a new C7. He's coming in from Florida next week so I'll learn more. He's had it in the shop several times. Details next week.
  4. I said newer not new. I wouldnt' ever really suggest a brand new car for the sake of depreciation hits. I bought my MS3 new only because it was a turbo that used would likely be ragged-out. I also got it for a steal. Yep. I found quite a few 2013-2015 Gen2's when I was in the market. 2014 with 14k on it was ready for me to take delivery of too. It was close. ^^ Smart move too. She is very nice for a 2011 and at a huge savings. Hey now! Agree. GM did equip it right with Mag ride and what not. Just IMO the damn thing is too vanilla and looks like the rental Malibu I had a couple weeks back.
  5. HaHa! That is exactly what I did. ONly my degrees are in Landscape Architecture and Civil Engineering. Road layout and Helipad designs were boring. Especially when budgets took away all the fun stuff we did around it. Eddie George and I went to school and interned together. He had the better qualifications for being a millionaire but then eventually went back to finish. Good for him.
  6. Just vote for Sanders, he'll take care of all your problems and get everyone else to pay for it
  7. Keep an open mind. I'll look past any ball-busting here if you want to grab a mid afternoon coffee sometime. Happy to help. Bob....not a troll. He's a good dude. Many of us are just much older and a little more blunt is all.
  8. ^^ GREAT Post! True stuff..... and a triple post because CR.
  9. ^^ This. My first "professional job" using my degree at 24 paid $24k per year and sucked. I made double that part time selling cars in college. I quit that job within a year and by age 27 I tripled that income.
  10. It's not about "sellling" as much as it is everything else. Customer relations, building trust, interactoins, and all the responsibilities that come with it. you're building transferable skillls not just hitting a nubmer. Leading in many different ways including the peers you'll be with. Get them and the customers to follow you and you WILL go place. I agree that such a move would be good. That's exactly what my insight is leading your towards. However, you have to dovetail off what you have now. No one is going to simply hire you without transferable skills. I would encourage you to keep an open mind. I'm in a sales mindset vs nursing but I've taking a lab worker making $14-$19 per hour to over $140k per year. She's still with us and last year will make as much if not more via the phone. Your call. 99.9% of the population would take that type of gig all day long. What fun you make of it is exactly that; what you make of it. She has a blast. She is one of two that I have working for me that pulls in that income via the phone. Move to outside sales and that number goes up. Move into management of a region, and.......move into a director role.......you get my drift. Sorry if I'm pushing the sales front. Just a suggestion and insight for you and others. Has made my life an enjoyable one and I wouldn't change it for anything I've come across. Money, autonomy, recognition, fun as hell and lots of fun if I've not already mentioned that.
  11. There's real opportunity. Sales is fun and you can do very very well if you're good and parley your transferable skills to the right place/market. I was 24 when I started inside and it was the best thing that I ever did. 6yrs of studies paid off too but only because I can / did leverage it.
  12. I think his point is to spark conversation and ideas vs looking for someone to say here's your career path. Although quite often it's a lot about who you know and keeping good ties in life that get people places and open doors for them along the way.

    APR Tuning

Let me know when you get your dyno running. Get that Stage II S3 in there and my Stage II S4 so we can see what they lay down.
  14. Call Mike Fusco over in Westerville. http://ohiolaws.com/michael-fusco/ Tell Him Tim Lauro sent you. He and my wife are good friends and she started off nearly two decades ago working with him as she rented space from them. They took over her accounts when she decided to stay home. they are all good people and have connections beyond me here at CR
  15. Came here to post this. He does good work and is good people.
  16. Powertrain is in jeopardy. Not flagged as TD1 but could be if I were to bring it in without flashing it back. Still risky. You gotta play to pay......Would much rather have it as it is vs stock. To get this kind of performance I would have had to buy an S6. Cheaper to mod and roll the dice. Again, 2014's are proving pretty solid.
  17. Yep. 220hp IIRC for the 6.6 Still loads of fun. RIP to my brother. His looked like this. Although this picture is a beautiful restoration with great looking wheels. Sorry for the hijack. FWIW I would love to have this car.
  18. If my wife would drive it, I would buy this car in a heartbeat. If I didn't have my S4, I'd buy this car in a heartbeat. Timeless design and style, nearly as clean if not as clean as a new car, has everything one could want in a sedan and IMO is one of the best styles of MBZ out there. Ask the average person what year it is and they either wouldn't know, especially on the exterior or they'd likely say less than 5yrs old. Repair wise, if you want scarey, think S4. I'm modded, have no warranty, and I'm okay with that. However, if the rear end blows up it's $4k the tranny is $5-7k. Those are the two areas I worry about. Thankfully I'm prepared if they do and don't abuse it. On top of that the 14's are very solid in both regards. Not so with the 2010 to 2012's. In the end, I just rubbed one out to this car again
  19. If I win the $1.5B or 960M cash option, I'm buying a franchise for Derek to have. He's solid.
  20. Lewis Center. I don't think they do them in Hilliard. Been very happy with it this week
  21. Here. That one looks like a 79 or 80. Personally I have a fondness for the 78's not because of the movie but rather my late brother had one and would take me out in it and burn up some rear tires.
  22. May look at a Highlander for the wife. Otherwise, I'm loving where I'm at for me
