  1. I do not support expanding background checks at gun shows. It will do little to nothing to help prevent bad guys from getting guns and will only limit my ability to maintain the govt staying out of my business. I don't need to offer up paying a fee to buy or sell a gun. I don't need to tell the authorities what I'm buying or if I'm buying or selling anything. Bullshit. It's very clear to anyone with a brain that the gov't and Obama don't care about lives they care about elections and money and getting more of it to continue their ridiculous spending sprees. How would expanding checks help? How do gun-free zones help? Do criminals really apply for background checks? Do mass shooters avoid gun free zones because of the rules? Do drug dealers apply for CCW's?
  2. I'm with you. I never will either. It's none of anyone's business, especially the authorities business, to know what guns or how many I own. Stay the fuck out and don't even try or expect me to report that. None of their business. Giving up that information will not benefit me in any way ever. I'm off the grid on paper. Pay cash, buy private and shoot on my own property.
  3. Addressing your first point, I don't have a concern that some gun owners don't understand the culture or how in fact their having registerered their firearms isn't going to curb gun crimes / shootings. 90% of the drivers out there don't understand the rules of the road either. That's life and Darwin takes care of many of them. It just proves they have very little understanding of life in general. They are of the same heard of sheep that follow the train of thought that making drugs illegal will curb drug related crimes. Have I got news for them....... Self reported....sure. I won't argue the percentages. Ask my mother if she owns a gun and she would say yes even though the guns in their home aren't hers nor does she own them or use them or ever hold them. However, given it's just her and my father, they now make up a statistic of 100% that 2 of 2 owns a gun. meh.....
  4. Just pull your gun out and tell them to step aside that the shitter is yours.
  5. You're bringing common sense to a gun debate. Don't make me slap you.
  6. 34% of Americans or American households. My guess is and it's apparent in at least one of the surveys that many who took the survey don't actually own or handle or make decisions about the firearms in their home. I bet $1 my neighbors hippie kid who thinks guns are evil took that survey. Same kid who's dad owns several guns.
  7. ^^ That's exactly what the polls show and I do believe is accurate.
  8. I've gotta drive to Cleveland to help move my parents to Cbus but I'm hoping to make this one. Will have to see if I can make the cruise as it would be fun.
  9. people are stupid and there's not much of a chance at fixing that when the plague is so great and those in control hold the magic stupid-stick that creates more. I'm marching on Washington to ban fertilizer plants and pressure cookers. In fact seeing someone carrying a bag of fertilizer and a pressure cooker on a plane or a gun....hmmm.... which would you be more scared to see.
  10. I'll leave it at this.....the polls show just as did the outcome of our election that the majority of people taking these polls and casting votes are stupid and understand very little in the way things impact the nation overall or affect real beneficial change. To think that imposing this new law is going to reduce or be valid response to the shootings in the news recently or in any way comfort the parents of those children with valid peace of mind is dumb. I feel bad for the parents but supporting this won't stop the next shooting and it wouldn't have saved their kids. It's true intent is to calm the masses of sheep, play off fears of recent events to garner more sheep and move this country one step closer to a nationwide gun registration program in which the powers in charge can begin to tax people further and enforce more restrictions on them. Obama and Biden are killing this country and need to step down.
  11. I think there's strong speculation that he didn't "make" the lots of money he's spending.
  12. that hardly represents the view of the US or even a fair slice of it. let's do the same survey in two red states like TX and TN and call it fair then. it is disappointing to see that 40+% feel stricture gun laws would reduce gun violence in schools. love to know how they think it will accomplish that.
  13. she's had enough dessert. not a fatty but she could forgo a few brownies.
  14. Not meaning to imply they took the pics but that they were able to obtain or capture them from the various sources.
  15. gotcha. again, his actions put it in perspective. just like the other thread about guns....it's not the tool it's the person and their actions and intent when using it. I personally love the fact that the FBI was so able to capture images and video like this. Fuck the whole crowd crying about big brother...there's no expectation of privacy when in the middle of a street like that.
  16. meh....if you really feel that buying your wife a car and she truly is excited that you bought her a car then you really need to look inside and ask yourself if you need to get a life. seriously, I love a chick who's into cars but if that's the greatest and most exciting and creative thing to generate a spark in your lives on her birthday.....that's depressing. he's way over compensating and no one needs to tell him that. he knows it.
  17. ^^ that actually looks pretty normal. I carry a Swiss Army back pack for work and it's rounded like that. The pockets grow progressively smaller obviously, but once I have my power bars, headphones, sunglasses in a case, etc. in their the back eventually looks like that. In fact on my last trip it looked just like that and the main cause was my camera that was smashed into it.
  18. The wife and I clearly remember when we wished we could just make "xxxxx" and you're spot on....now we look at what just the federal side is and in comparison makes us very grateful for what we have built up and earned over time. Scott is right...the good and the bad. That said, I hate taxes and do all we can to shelter ourselves from paying any bit we can.
  19. Our place is just south of you off 60 north of Zainyville and no one gives a shit, even the sheriff when we ride and shoot and yes, even along the perimeter. Then it is Zainyville area :gabe:
  20. Yes. Your argument is meaningless. It's like saying the BluRay burner in my PC is for pirating movies or that the spring loaded knife in my garage is for stabbing people. By your logic anyone here with a nitrous system installed is using it for street racing.
  21. :gabe: I love a chick with a nasty mouth on her.
  22. Guns are designed to launch a projectile is fired at high velocity into a relatively flat trajectory. HOW they are used is up to the person, not the device. I don't own any of my firearms with an intent to kill anyone. They can if used in such a manner, but that's a decision I make. Cars are designed to propel forward as well....and again, HOW they are used is up to the user. I own mine to run errands but again, they can kill more people than my guns should I choose to use them for that.
  23. Looks like a Scion or a next generation Honda something...
  24. My guess is the charge of resisting is being directed at when the cop tried to remove his rifle and he admittingly pulled it back and away from the officer which in turn led to the LEO pulling his gun. In the end, while I don't condone walking around with a rifle in broad daylight unless you want to come off as a dumb ass extremist making a point, I also don't condone how the cops handled it. Flip sides one more time, if I'm a cop am called out by Joe-Public to see what's up and I find a guy walking with an gun like that I'm not going to take many chances either. Not sure I would have even confronted the guy alone. My life as a cop > his life or even his precious bullshit rights at that point. Sue me or the city, I really wouldn't care as again, I'm first going to be concerned with my own safety.
