i'm about an hour north of milwaukee, and a half hour south of green bay thanks for the comments guys. probably going to sell my '87 foxbody. its going to kill me to do it, but i just don't drive the car anymore, and i can't justifiy having cars that sit forever.

no problem. i'd rather be at work than at home managing 3 kids under the age of 3---that's a non-stop job. sure, we could do daycare, and my wife could work as an ICU nurse again-- she supported me for 6 years of our marriage when i wasn't making squat. we never do expensive birthday gifts--maybe just a couple hundred bucks at most.

i'm a physician

we don't have separate accounts. my wife does all the finances, and generally runs a tight ship. i've got my 403b maxxed out monthly, and plenty coming out monthly for investing, and college educations. i wouldn't say my wife "dug" into our account. more like scraped the surface. not to be a dick, but i didn't mean this thread to be any type of competition

probably about 2 hours from madison, and an hour-and-a-half from waukesha---i'm just a bit further north

hard to say, but i'll have a better idea once i get more seat time. the cobra should be faster from 40-140.

thanks ray. hopefully going to get a 4 post lift this summer. i'm glad i had the floor done. i considered doing it myself, but it certainly would not have turned out as well--and the guy who did it warranties his work for 10 years.

thanks guys. i consider it a gift. there's no way i would have spent that money on a car, even if i can afford it--my wife knows that. call it what you will. got a chance to drive it last night and am still getting used to it-- feels completely different from my cobra.

absolutely nuts. couldn't ever imagine doing that. i guess you do what you have to do to survive. appendicitis is one of those scary things. it can come from nowhere, there's no real predisposing conditions or warning signs that its coming, and it can absolutely kill you if not treated.

thanks guys. yes we have a joint account. i have no idea how much she paid for it, other than she got 0% financing. frankly, i don't care. i can afford it, but would not have bought it myself as i'm trying work as hard as i can and save money

welcome to the site. i like the wingless look. i lived in tampa last year, and frequented a couple of the local forums there.

i see 3 white boxes with red "X"s in them--didn't know that's what the '02 wrx's looked like. looks nasty.

funny, my bolt on (catback, intake), tuned ls2 goat put down about 35 less rwhp than dave's cobra (he had catback and intake--no tune). this was on the same day, same dyno. both cars manuals. discuss.
