  1. I was impressed by Rock Auto earlier last week. Needed 4 shocks for our XTerra. Apparently there is a warehouse somewhere in NC. Ordered them Wed. AM and they showed up Thurs. AM! Definitely didnt expect them that fast! Same with odds and ends for my MINI when I had it. Shipped fast and it was OEM stuff as if I had went to the dealer for it! I may be willing to bet that if you called them about the gasket shipping they would take care of it?.. I am sure their system is pretty automatic for shipping online. I did also order 2 PCV Valves and the shipping was as much as the parts!... But still less than at the part store..
  2. Looks like they are sort of universal... mounts to small diameter racks and whatnot. You can see in the pic how that bottom pad mounts to the plastic with 2 bolts http://www.quadcrazy.com/atvstore/brand/All-Rite/
  3. Saw that earlier. I guess there was only a driver in the SUV. Died instantly.
  4. Haha. He looked like Seth Rogan from Knocked Up, but with a huge red afro lol Edit: back to the Cigars- I am currently enjoying a "flavours by CAO" says "moontrance" below that. Its very tasty. Reminds me of the sweet air and cigar smoke wafting out of some of the Vegas casinos lol.
  5. I swung by the local little cigar place. Wanted to try one of those Acid Kubas. They were out so I tried the Blondies... Not bad. Went well with some Makers.. Sucked there was just some kid with an afro at the place, and he wasn't very helpful lol.
  6. Woah... stocked up! I am in the same boat. I plan on buying some Adirondack chairs, some bourbon, and a couple sticks to try out now that my weather is improving... Good thread. I have taken some good notes.
  7. righto: http://rcmautomotive.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/sho-slicer-wheels-directional.jpg Yeah and cars like Teslas... http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2010/10/08/automobiles/wheels-Tesla-Roadster-25/wheels-Tesla-Roadster-25-blogSpan.jpg
  8. I vote hell no as well. I wouldn't even want to sell a car to a close friend or coworker, even if it is mechanically and visually flawless... You never know how people will react if a transmission or something goes out... Let alone when they still have to pay YOU money. Her best course of action is to go buy a truck worth 5000 less than yours!
  9. Blue Point Grill is fantastic for fine dining. (for next trip lol)
  10. That is pretty sad. Seems like anything can tow 5000 these days; why not a huge jeep lol
  11. I would also suggest getting prior approval. You need that paper trail. I would get everything in writing from whoever, and then you can be (more) confident in not paying out of your pocket (except if there is a deductible). I have been reading up on my own aftermarket warranty, and aside from a 200 dollar deductible, it can read pretty vague!
  12. Only pic i have at the moment (snapped it at some range in Medina). Star BM 9mm. My best bud gave it to me as a wedding present since I was moving out of state. Basically sits around loaded up for home defense. I really enjoy shooting it at the range, the few times I have been. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a299/iwashmycar/IMG-20111223-00080.jpg Here is a great info site about them as well: http://www.hipowersandhandguns.com/Critical%20Look%20at%20Star%20Model%20BM.htm
  13. I never had any problems with Progressive in Ohio. They were just too $$$ down here in SC so I had to switch
  14. Sadly I got it from the Kia Dealership I found the FJ at in Florence, KY.... It will never see that place again now that we're in SC.
  15. Yeah I am going to have to see if the company mine is through even still exists... Id rather see if I can get in on the Toyota one
  16. Haha. I've been thinking the same thing as I have seen that commercial a lot lately.
  17. So on my FJ forum someone brought up 'getting a warranty on a used car'. This got me thinking about mine. Bought the FJ last May with 51K miles. While purchasing it I was told for my financing I could get a lower interest rate with a warrantied used car. Basically I save a grand on interest with the lower rate, but the warranty is something like 2000. I decided to go for it since I would pay a grand for a 5 yr. 100K miles warranty. (The early 07 FJs supposedly had some quirks with the transmission) The "aftermarket" warranty is a 5 yr / 100K Premier Plus VSC from Premier Dealer Services (part of Great American Insurance Group I guess). Googling them certainly does not make me feel very good about them lol. First question is was this probably a stupid mistake? I remember talk with the financing guy that it is prorated and could be canceled. (I want to say it was "after 6 months") I was going through all the previous owners papers / service records that came with it in the glove box and they have Toyota's 7 yr / 100K mile Platinum warranty on it. I have heard it is transferable, but I have yet to look into that mess. I'd rather definitely use the Toyota one obviously if possible. So main question still stands.... and insight on these things? I have only driven it 6K miles so far so it may very well see the year limit instead of the mileage one... Thanks!
  18. Its so good he could have just lipsynced the whole thing and I'd not know the difference lol
