Hey all. Trying to do my due diligence for Thanksgiving time. Currently living down in SC now, and I would like to get a rental car for a week since the wifes car is a POS, and mine drinks gas (stupid mountains). Seems worth it at the $230 or so per week they want for them, but I was wondering if ya'll know of any good discounts out there? Seems like I should book one sooner than later. There are not many companies to choose from though: Hertz - Pricier, but probably the best Enterprise - Could do, but they have restrictions for mileage past NC U-Save - Slightly cheaper, but never heard of em. Rent-A-Wreck - I guess it is supposed to be a funny name, and are not actually that crappy, but supposedly much more used. I am sure I could drive further from 29201 to find other companies however. I appreciate any insight.

Id look for a ranger as well. They seem to last the longest. A Dakota will rust away, and while S10s had a good run I dont think they are as reliable. My .02 Then there is the Toyotas thatll run forever, but will usually rust out. Also they cost more to aquire I know you said no full-size, but I would stongly encourage a test drive of a reg cab short bed F150. They are just absolute tanks. Best truck for your money IMO, and once you drive one, they do not seem all that large.

I regret selling my foxbody. They just aren't around and clean anymore. I probably miss the "thought" of it lol (the good days). In reality it would probably have a rusting-through hatch and multiple problems today.... Would love to find another.

Bottom line, I personally hate anything where I would have to clean out grounds. While the presses, ect make excellent coffee I am sure, there is nothing compared to the quickness of K cups (besides a drive-thru)
