  2. I got really bored last night and decided to take pictures of the camro and some other random ones. That is my dads 69 ss camaro. We are putting my old lt1 in it when I get back home from school. You can also see the bearings on one of the rods. The RV is for sale also. http://i34.tinypic.com/256xs7b.jpg http://i35.tinypic.com/n2k4nr.jpg http://i35.tinypic.com/u0jg7.jpg http://i35.tinypic.com/ibl5if.jpg http://i33.tinypic.com/2uppe2v.jpg http://i38.tinypic.com/2v3hbgw.jpg http://i36.tinypic.com/fx9vgy.jpg http://i38.tinypic.com/or2kq9.jpg http://i38.tinypic.com/3449q4n.jpg http://i34.tinypic.com/2d0hwld.jpg
  3. Thanks, so was I. It is getting a new clutch, thanks for the tip.
  4. It was the fork. Thanks for the info. Motor is out and both are mostly disasembled ready for swapping parts.
  5. I just unbolted the bellhousing and still noting.Evan9381- I see an arm in there pusing against what looks like the input shaft and yes its a standard.
  6. I am at the point of pulling the motor out of the car but the trans will not seperate from the motor. All 6 bolts are out and I have used a pry bar to get about 1/2-3/4 of clearance but it wont get any more. I have the trans free on jacks and a ratchet strap pulling it towards the back of the car and a engine hoist on the motor and it wont break free. What else is there to do? I will be working on it till tonight so if you did want to call me its 614-778-4134 thanks. ( Or help lol)
  7. When you pull the motor what did you use to pull it with. That happy hooker thing? Did you make your own?
  8. lol, was there really an option anyway?
  9. wow. I was definitally pushing it at 6500.
  10. Sweet. I will let you know whats going on when I get home.
  11. Sweet. let me know what you find. I am always up to modifing it Will you always have those days off? I dont know yet if I am going to work on it this weekend. That would be nice to get it out in one evening. I thought it would be a love story. I am on the west side of columbus so I dont think you are far.
  12. Lol, I am. Especiallyy since I just got the car a few weeks ago and it decides to spin a bearing. I like having a plan all ready to go and I gett getting tied up between the bottom or the top. Camaroz28.com says bottom and you guys say top, I know the people on here so I want to go from the top now. It seems real intimidating, like I dont know where to start and usually I can find alot of info on doing things on my cars and I have been having trouble getting info with this piece. I dont know yet when I am doing it. I am trailering it home from cleveland thursday after school and depending on when I get the motor for it (I have one lined up for $400) I will decide. Every two weeks starting this week, I have thursday-sunday off to come home back to columbus and work on this car and my new house. I would greatly apprecaite you throwing in a hand on this project. Thanks.
  13. I was planing on just leaving the trans bolted up and unbolting it from the motor. Is that how it works? Or do I have to remove both of them?
  14. If you wanna put a hand in the motor replacement in my camode I will run you there. And will bust out my qaud on you.
  15. Wouldnt you need something small to get the bolts between the transmission and the firewall, or are you refering to the ones you can get under the car first?
  16. What part of cleveland are you at? I am living up there right now for school. Welcome and nice car. Dont forget to get that car over to dynotune!
  17. I trust your word alot. Did you see the two things about the bottom. What are the negatives on that compared to the top?
  18. http://www.valvoline.com/carcare/articleviewer.asp?pg=pht20020701ch This right here. So do you sugest going from the top or bottom? How difficult is it to unbolt the trans?
  19. http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/showt...+engine+bottom http://www.michiganspeed.com/enginepull/index.html These are making me want to do it from the bottom. I havent decided yet. I wish I could find a write up on how to do it from the top like I found here. What was the worst part about doing it from the top?
  20. I stopped by saturday night but you had allready left. It dont matter anyway because I spun a rod bearing. Good luck with the full-time dyno. Do you have plans on moving?
  21. I have heard thats the easiest? Can I get some details please. I have an engine lift but not a in ground car lift which it sounds like you are talking about.
  22. The cam makes the power up there and the valve train that it has is supposed to handle it also. Apparently the bottom end didnt though. Its getting set back to 6k.
  23. The oil has metal shavings in it. Its done. Any tips on getting this motor out?
  24. +1 for crower cams. I run them in my quad. Free bump
  25. The rev limiter is set 1t 6.5 and the shift light is at 6.4. It didnt go past 6.5 before it happened. i did get on it though right before. WIth afetrmarket parst in there it should have handled that rpm, right?
