    LT1 vs. LS1

    Sounds like it really isnt hard to reach my goal with either, espically the ls1. Still havent figured out what the safe max whp is for both. I do not plan to pull apart and build a motor (smokin5s). The most going into the motor I want to do is a cam and maybe heads. Mostly want to get LT,s and nitrous with a rutan tune done then work from there. (gtfosho) I am a ford guy and it just seems right to be in a mustang but its easier to make power with the f-body and the 4.6 is weak. I would get a 5.0 just to put a bbk ssi intake on it. That is the sexiest intake out there.

    LT1 vs. LS1

    I know that ls1's are far more surperior. I just never hear of numbers from the lt1 and people modding them. What can a LT1 handle? What would you expect from H/C nitrous, headers, and tune? I plan to either get a sn-95, fox ( very doubt full), or LT1 f-body in the near future. You can get these car for around 4-6k with decent mileage on them. 6-speed LS1's are 8k-up. I only have goals of 400whp-450whp. what mods would equal that?

    I forgot about the flow of the heads. That seems like a big draw back. How well does the LT1 respond to nitrous? I know the LS1 loves every bit of a 150 shot.
  6. I know the all mighty ls1 is better and makes gobs of power. What about the LT1 though? What kind of potential does it hold? I have heard that an lt1 with headers will beat a stock ls1. I am talking about f-bodies here not the corvette. Please discuss the topic, I want some info on the lt1.

  9. Go to cleveland. Guranteed you will see twice as many cops up there. When I lived up there for a few months I got four tickets. Its horrible up there, I am glad to be back in Columbus. The freeway up there is 60mph and 50mph at some points. Everywhere else is 35mph. I hate it.

  15. Zebart off wilson on the west side. I have never went there but I know they do illegal tint.
  16. I want to do some cams but I am thinking about selling the evo. Either for a black 04' cobra, F250 powerstroke, or a ZR2 s-10 and a blazer for my girlfriend. I dont know what I am gonna be doing with it. I am a domestic guy at heart but the evo is fun.

    Evo trans

    Well I took it to the dealer to get the hard shifting and grinding fixed. I figured it was the syncros. They told me it was the clutch? I asked him to explain to me how a bad clutch causes a trans to grind and not shift. He said it wasnt engaging all the way. No warranty because its a friction item I guess. Well I took the advice of someone on here about adjusting it and sure enough the rod from the clutch pedal to cylinder was loose with the locking nut back out. I adjusted the rod and tightened the nut down. This seemed to help alot but because of driving like this for awhile, 3rd grinds everytime going in. What is this and is it possible to get fixed under warranty?
  18. I am gonna try and adjust the freeplay first. Thanks for the info I have been told it feels like a act clutch from people sitting in it and pusing it.
  19. It gradually did it. It was fine when I first got it but it continues to get worse. It has about half clutch pedal in it.
  20. damn I hope not. I bought it from them like that though, and bought the extended warranty from them.
  21. Well now the thing wont shift. Well it does, but hardly. Reverse is no longer an option untill you get it completely warm and all others are having alot of trouble going in and are grinding as they do. Is it the syncros? I am taking it in for warranty after thanksgiving but would like to know whats going on or what to expect. The clutch is not stock, would that get replaced if the dealer fixes the trans? I would like to keep the clutch. Looks like cams and the turbo are on hold.

  23. I am set at 20 but it wont hold it.
