  1. Are you serious with this? He makes 702rwhp with all the power and on waste gates I make 800rwhp. On kill mode I make 1100rwhp + I now have N20 on the car and next time out will be running on Cold Kill mode (my new name for all the power and N20) This guy's setup is really nice and should net him some High 9 second runs. Kudos to IPS on a great job! But comparing a 700rwhp car to a1100rwhp+ car that has proven itself time and time again at the track is a not even a fair contest. I have all intentions of going down to thier first track day in Mississippi on the 30th. Just waiting for them to call me back.
  2. I'll have to take some pics but... AK47 AR15 with 4 way fore grip with bipod tatical light eotech optics Glock 27 40S&W Kimber Custom 1911 Colt 45 70 series Ruger P89 9MM And as always a couple throw aways.
  3. Throw some DR's on that bitch and go after the bolt on record... I am sure it can be beat!
  4. The records are broken down into categories... BONE stock on stock tires (you can't even have an air filter) 1----10.981 @ 128.90--1.77---jamie furman ------'06. -----Details Stock on DR's (completely stock car and tune and paper filter with DR's) Record 1--10.831 @ 130.05--1.70---jamie furman ------'06. -----Details Bolt On's without internal modifications(once you add an air filter you go into this category) 1---10.764 @129.77--1.56---07WhiteDevilZ------'07 -----Details Internal Engine Mods plus Bolt-Ons 1--10.525 @132.71--1.57---07WhiteDevilZ------'07 -------Details Power Adders (Nitrous, Turbo, Supercharger) 1---9.218 @158.20--1.46---atomicfusion -----'07.-----Details You can find the links to each run at corvetteforum.com in the c6z section under fast list. I went 11.34 stock on stock tires with a fucking K&N air filter and no tune so the DQ'd my run as stock on stock tires. I also would have been in the top ten of each category if I had posted them all, but the fastest of the fastest is the only one I was really concearned with. Great runs Cavin and Sam, more will come! Check out Ranger's launch technics, they make the car leave well (although you can't get much better than 1.7 on stock tires) I was in the 1.7's on stock tires as well, and it takes some coaxing.
  5. We have manual lock up converters so they lock up when I hit a switch. The Stall speed is 3400 but at higher boost settings it stalls later. I can lock up the switch at launch and then the converter will lock up in 2nd and all of 3rd, but that is harder on the Transmission and also leads to slower et and mph.
  6. Is anyone else besides me and Brandon going?
  7. What you are hearing is my lock up converter... at 6500 rpms I lock it up and it keeps me in power longer... That is why Jason's car didn't go 8's because his lockup wasn't working. Jason's car actually makes about 40 wheel more than mine under the curve and with the lockup working should have went about 6-8MPH better than me.
  8. From my house it is 2hrs 36m, about the same as Norwalk, but from Jason's side of town it would be 3hrs.
  9. NTR is too strict for me... I went to Muncie and played 9 sec taxi cab.... I actually took to passengers for low 9 second passes... Brandon took in car video of a 9.34 run! I put up a thread with a bunch of runs in the pics and vids section.
  10. Hope you guys had as much fun at Trails as we did in Muncie... Conditions were awesome, track was prepped.... 50 gallons of VHT on each lane! We talked to the owner and he said if you can yank your tires off the line and then can't turn around in the traps and run back yanking them from the big end he would give you your money back! That track HOOKS! I pulled my best 60' ever with a 1.42! New record 9.21@158.20
  11. Notice that I never said that AutoX was for people that can't drive... I just said it didn't appeal to me. As for would I like to see what I can do, sure... I'd love to. Why not drive a car set up for it and see what I could do. My problem was never with Autox or the skill required to do it, it was simply with the statement that dragracers don't have any skill. As for the Title issue, at the Super chevy show and the Goodguys show there was a guy selling vin plates and titles for old junked cars. That would probably be the easiest way to get the car titled. I want to say he was selling the vin plate and clear title for like $125.
  12. That is a pretty harsh comment. You know there is some skill involved in Drag racing.... I believe that every type of racing is setup for a specific goal. A narrowminded individual is the one that places labels on something just because they don't like or understand it. Personally I don't see the allure of driving around a parking lot trying to avoid cones; however, I don't say that the sport is for people who's cars aren't fast enough to do anythig meaningful with them.
  13. We went up and played a bit... just running on Low boost 7-8psi. Cars were running 10.1 for Jason and 10.35 for me at about 140MPH each.
  14. I heard a rumor that both cars may either both be at Marion Friday night or even out at crusing various spots around 270 later that night. Who knows.....
  15. Yeah, you can drive it anywhere anytime... In 95+ degrees bumper to bumper would not be good with the AC on, but would be doable none the less. I run with the AC on on the freeway to work on 95+ days and don't get over 195. We are finalizing some changes that should keep the car cool even with the AC on in bumper to bumper.
  16. I have video of all the really cool runs from Wed. at Norwalk... I downloaded them all to IPS earlier today. They should be posting some up soon.
  17. I tech down to 10.00 at 135... I have a cage, harness, fire jacket, and all sfi equipment... what I don't have is a 10point cage, parachute, hans device, 8.50-9.99 licence, and the physical that goes along with these requirements. I may have these all next year, but this year it just wasn't possible to get them done.
  18. We can run 10's there, the problem is we are working towards 8's... they told me if I ever run a 9.99 or faster there again without the proper equipment they would call NHRA and have me blackballed from every track in the country... Just not worth it IMO Wish I could come... but I am not going to run that slow anymore if I can help it.
  19. Cavin was the only person in his car all day I can attest to that! As for instructions, I am pretty sure that every single racer at every single track in the country has had some help from someone, that being said, I am pretty sure he didn't pay anyone to help him a bit, as a matter of fact there were plenty of people offering up advice for free and I believe he did fine for his first time in the car. As for all the haters out there, if you had what he had you would be getting the same crap because plain and simply people are just jelous. Who cares how he got whatever he has. I don't see anyone else asking how Anthony got his TA or Brian got his TA or Ray got his, or I got my Z or Jason got his Z. I don't post much on this site because of all the baby bullshit. Let the guy have fun in his car, and if you want to rag on him, at least come to the track and watch and see for yourself. Now Back on topic... I believe someone once said that these cars will never trap 160MPH! well, Jason's car is only .84MPH away from it. Anyone want to bet if he gets that last little bit or not??? Congrats on some great runs today Jason. Tomorrow will be another long day, and we expect to put on a pretty good show up at Dragway 42!
  20. It is what it is... We are currently limited by a few parts... this winter those limits should be upgraded.
  21. That is pretty awesome... I wonder what that cost to build.... wonder if I could have left mine stock and had that one too....
