  1. C6 TT build has been done. The kits are less expensive the car is cheaper anyone can and many have built C6 cars into really nice cars. But, most people can't build the C6Z because they can't afford to. My build has not been done yet, and no magazine really cares about another C6 build. I want a car that people will know and that is interesting to the magazines so I can actually get it in one. I also would love to be able to set a record or two if it is possible. Right now Lingenfelter has the C6Z HP record with 1300 FLYWHEEL Hp. Wouldn't it be awesome to be able to say that you hold or held the HP record? Standing mile on the C6Z is 226MHP. That is yet another goal to go after. Waste of a car? Well you may think so, but unless your 1970 Camaro SS is completely origional numbers matching with no modifications, many people would say that is a waste. I personally think everyone has their own taste and likes what they like. I thinnk the 1970 Camaro is an awesome car and actually thought about dropping my other LS7 into one, but what a waste of a car that would be right?
  2. We had the transmissions professionally built to withstand >1000rhwp. Although we don't expect the trans to last forever, we do think it will last at least 1 season. As for the Converter, we went on the recommendations of the the trans builder. RPM has been building transmissions for cars that run in the 7's for a long time. We will see what they can do for our cars. I would be that the built tranny/stall will last longer than the clutch.
  3. I heard that the Mansfield speedway was building a 1/4 mile track. Anyone know if it is done yet? I will be up for a rental in about 3-4 weeks. Just need time to get everything broken in and tuned correctly.
  4. I am actually just waiting on the call that all my parts are in... Unfortunately you guys didnt have access to the wheels I wanted, but IPS is hooking me up on them. As for the rest of the chrome stuff. I am just waiting.

  9. Thanks for all the cool comments... Yeah, both are going to get cages next year. We are going to have custom cages built in the cars so that they aren't so intrusive. We did go with all SFI stuff so that we would be that much closer to NHRA legal when the time comes. I am excited about the auto and not having to buy clutches anymore. It should also make the car much more streetable. More to come.
  10. I had the acclained Exedy twin disc in my car before and after 8 passes and 1k miles it was done! That was with ONLY 543RWHP and 515lbs TQ. So now lets double that and you tell me what will hold it. The tripple carbon clutch would have been around $4500 by itself and everyone says it sucks to drive. I like to drive my car and I can guarantee you will see it out more than almost any other 1000+RWHP car! (other than Jason's) We didn't just walk into IPS and say hey um throw a bunch of shit together cause "I wanna go fast", we did tons of research, then some more and then asked Brandon to do it all over again just to make sure we knew what we were getting into. What it all comes down to is this... we wanted two of the baddest, fastest, street driven Z06's in the country. Why not a standard C6? Cause it has been done and I already had and love my C6Z. And lets all be honest. Those of you who have a C6 wouldn't you have bought the C6Z if you could have? No offense but the C6Z just looks better, and is a better platform to work from. Yeah I could have got a C6 and bought the conversion for the wide body, the different facias and all the other stuff, but I also could have bought a Fiero and put the Ferrari Testarosa conversion kit on it too, but at the end of the day it would have just been a Fiero. And the real answer to why is... BECAUSE I CAN!

  15. I think that reguardless of the actual times we post, it is going to be one hell of a ride! We really pulled out all the stops on the builds and did about everything that could be done. If we don't reach the goals we have set it will be due to traction.
  16. Well, since Jason has already been in the 10's and I have been in the very low 11's with basically bolt ons I would be willing to say 9's isn't all that unrealistic. Also remember we aren't new to drag racing... I have been racing for over 10 years now and have had some pretty fast cars. Not sure if any of you remember my big tire 67 Camaro I had.... 2200lbs with over 600rwhp. Yeah that was a monster... launching on a 5600stall off the break on monster meats jerking the front end. That car was a mid 9 second car and only trapped in the 130's. Of corse it 60 footed in the 1.3-1.4 range but that was a horse of a different color. Or Jason's "Stock 95" With the build LT4 that ran 10.28 at 128 at one of the old Norwalk events while we were still figuring out the N20 setup. Understand this... my car went 11.16 with a 2.2 60ft on Nittos while still playing with the new setup and on Motor! If I had sprayed the 200 shot I am certian even without traction I would have been DEEP into the 10's already if not a high 9 second pass. Now we have Hardend EVERYTHING, automatic conversions, 3800 lockup's and a built motor with meth injection and TT's that should be able to produce 800RWHP on waste gates. If I can't get the car in the 9's with that kind of power then something is seriously wrong. And make sure you understand that I don't plan to have my first day at the track that rental. I'd be willing to bet Jason and I rent Marion as soon as they are de-bugged and broken in to figure out how to launch them. Hell, maybe we will sell some tickets to that show! As for FAT Chances... I guess we will just have to see. If we are there... one or both of us will be running 9's. Belive that!
  17. Haven't read all the tread so this may already be stated... not sure what the other guys have confirmed but I know Jason went 10.99 in a STOCK bottom end LS7 last year. All that was done to the car was long tubes ported IM and TB and a tune. My car went 11.16 on Motor with a crap 60' and never got to run on the bottle after the cam install. I did have forged pistons so I guess that takes me out of the stock bottom end category. Stock bottom end is subjective anyway.
  18. BTW, Antwon I have some 10.5x18's with Nittos (8 passes) on the back. TPMS sensors and Z06 Stock style wheels. FOR SALE! $500 for the set (I have almost a grand in the set) let me know.
  19. Looks like my build will be done in time... with that being said, I expect to run faster than last year. By how much, who knows, but since I went 11.16 on Motor last year, I should be able to at least get into the low 10's with the new build. If all goes well and they don't kick me out, I plan on at least one big boost pass which should put me well into the 9's. I guess only traction will tell, but with the steamrollers on the back of my car, all the hardened drivetrain and the new automatic, I may be able to bring the thing out good enough for a decent pass.
  20. The bike is looking good Shawn... I don't have any issues with Mike, except when he paces me. LOL Anyway, whatever it takes to go fast! Looking forward to seeing that thing on the track this year.
