  1. Lmfao why don't I get points for Boise? Others on here are always telling me how Boise is a joke of a school and such. I have argued over and over that Boise is a legit school, hell they are on a rebuilding year and nearly beat Michigan State, whom many feel will win the B10 this year lol. I should atleast be at 3.5 points sir 2008 Oregon finished 10th (ahead of a 1 loss Boise lol) 2009: 11th (boise finished 4th at 14-0) 2011: Finished 4th
  2. So 3 times they have been beat by an unranked team, the other they lost to a team that probablly shouldn't have been ranked ahead of them to begni with. I will excuse the loss to #4 LSU as that was actually a fun game to watch and LSU was simply the better team
  3. I know what a darkhorse is, a winner that no one gives a chance to who comes out of nowhere to be victorious lol. I am well aware that they are a top 10 team, but no one is giving them a real shot at winning the Pac12 outside of their own fans. The media is all about USC, thus the reason I feel they are over looked, over shadowed, ect... BTW I even stated that the term probablly wasn't the best term to be used 2008: #17 Oregon vs unranked Boise 2009: #16 Oregon vs #14 Boise (no one expected Boise to win this regardless of rankings haha) Unranked Stanford vs #8 Oregon 2010: Undefeated (lost to Auburn in NCG) 2011: Unranked USC vs #4 Oregon
  4. Going back to ND for a few seconds, the more I think about it the more I am excited to see some matchups ND vs FSU ND vs Miami ND vs Clemson ND vs Va Tech
  5. My bad I thought they had lost to some teams they weren't supposed to such as Boise (TWICE), unranked USC, unranked Stanford, unranked Cal lol. Regardless they are a "dark horse" simply because as you said USC has monopolized that conference and even Stanford has been talked about more then Oregon this year in the media. Maybe my word choice wasn't the best, over looked, over shadowed, those could possibly be better terms to use in this instance. USC definitley has lost to teams they should not have, however I think this is he best USC team since 08. Its amazing how I used to hate Matt Barkley and now I wish the Browns would've waited a year to select a qb so they could've taken him haha. I do think that the winner of the Pac12 will be facing an SEC school in the championship game, wether that be USC or Oregon is tbd.
  6. Looking up their stats on ESPN shows me they rush a ton. They are at 774 yards rushing in 2 games vs 269 passing. Oregon is the dark horse this year out in the Pac 12, yes they are top 10 but yo havent really heard much about them this year. However in most years they just like USC will lose to an inferior team that leaves you scratching your head. Edit: Air Force runs a fuck ton lol. Last year they put up 4092 rushing yards! I still dont think that excuses Michigans defense as I still feel they are not very good at all and will get lit up a few times this year
  7. Here is one I can remember: The OJ Simpson chase and murder case. I was in 4th grade when this happened and remember watching the verdict live in my classroom.
  8. I think ND vs Florida State will be interesting. Some people are already saying that most of the ACC games will be before November as southern teams are supposedly against playing up north in the cold
  9. Michigan had trouble beating Air Force...it happens Michigans defense is really bad and has been the last couple years. The only thing they have had going for them is Denard. Look at what the D has given up in 2 games this year Alabama: 431 yards Air Force 417 yards Barkley and company would have a field day with that defense. I too have a hard time choosing the lesser of 2 evils when ND/Michigan face off but usually I pull for Michigan. I really like when Michigan is ranked high coming into OSU week, makes for a better feeling after beating them rather than a 3-9 type Michigan squad I think we'll have a better idea of what USC is made of after this weekend. I have them on upset alert against Stanford but really anxious to see them and Oregon face off later this year.
  10. Michigan has no defense, USC has an amazing qb and WR tandem. Look at what Alabamas offense was able to do against Michigans D, I wouldn't consider Alabamas offense to be an elite one by any means. Their defense is another story though haha. Speaking of defense LSU just lost another starter on that side of the ball, LB Tahj Jones along with 3 others have been ruled accademically ineligible
  11. I bet Nevada is well taken care of in the sexual department courtesy of Zack, good god. Could you wrap your lips any tighter around an online posters dick? We get it, you think he is god and is never wrong. I dont think I have made a comment in regards to him in quite a long time, maybe you should try some new source material lol. No ND vs Michigan will be sort of sad, I actually like watching that matchup. Same with ND vs Michigan State. Michigan scheduling USC yearly will just make the conference look bad as USC is on a whole different level than Michigan and I dont see that changing anytime soon lol. Now if you mean USC as in South Carolina, ok I would't mind that as they are about equally matched most years. Just read on scout some more information in regards to ND: "The 5 game schedule will be rotated too. New information is saying all 14 ACC schools will be guaranteed to play Notre Dame once every 3 years. That means only 1 school will play them twice in a 3 year span"
  12. I have a saturday morning Anatomy and Physiology class or else we would venture over on Friday. We're gonna spend the night saturday and come back early Sunday
  13. Thats what I was thinking, plus its an 8pm kickoff
  14. Let me know Frank, maybe we can meet up over in Bloomington before the game or something. I owe my wife a night game as I gave her ticket to Wisconsin last year to my buddy....oops! I really wanna go to the Nebraska game but fuck tickets are still way over priced right now, might head up the day of and see if we can't catch a deal from a scalper or something. That or try craigslist the week of as tickets usually drop price right before games.
  15. Was a Jr in highschool, came out of class to my buddies telling us that we was being blown up. Went to study hall and watched tv. Newark City Schools told every teacher to turn off tv's and get back to teaching, my study hall teacher (also my pottery teacher) was a Vietnam vet and refused to turn the tv off. He said they teach history in this school, well we're living it right now. Crazy I can still remember him saying that, he was a cool guy. After school I headed to football practice where we saw Air Force 1 flying by accompanied by 3 fighter jets. I remember coming up out of my stance along with everyone else and just staring...
  16. Yeah man, you can get 4 tickets and a parking pass for $150 lol. Stubhub has tickets as low as $38 right now. The wife, myself and 2 buddies are gonna make the trip over. I also hear Northwestern is a good expierence as you can take a flight directly into Chicago and basically walk to the stadium (just what I was told recently).
  17. I never really understood the whole "its the coaches fault", they aren't the ones on the field playing. Their job is to put the best players on the field and thus far I feel they have done that. It is really early in the season and OSU is rotating in a ton of personel, I think that has a lot to do with it. I too expected much more from the highly hyped d-line but it is what it is thus far. OSU is 2-0 and last time I checked thats all that really matters. I think the D will step up as the talent they face gets better. This team should go 12-0 looking at the schedule and how poorly the rest of the B10 has played thus far. On a side note I would love to see a shutout against Indiana as I will be at that game. Tickets are so damn cheap and its a 3hr drive lol.
  18. Yeah they still run it but its totally different. You dont know if Braxton is handing the ball off or not, where as in the I you pretty much knew what was coming lol. My biggest complaint about the old play callers aside from never throwing on 1st down was trying to send the smallest backs on the team right up the gut ala Maurice Wells.
  19. Lmfao!!! I dont miss DAVE, I just miss seeing Boren going through a hole and blowing up some poor linebacker
  20. I am re-watching the game right now and some things stand out to me: 1. OSU's defense gets absolutely 0 pressure on the qb 2. The linebackers have really under whelmed me thus far 3. Braxtons mechanics need worked with big time (he's basically using nothing but his arm, no leg/hips in his throws) 4. I miss the I formation (really just miss watching Boren blow people up) 5. The clapping before the ball is snapped annoys me 6. A runningback better step up or Braxton will be done by mid season (taking a lot of shots) 7. The secondary might be the best unit of this team 8. Devin Smith and Philly Brown appear to have stepped up as the 1 & 2 receivers on the team I'm gonna keep watching the game and will update list lol
  21. Should've lost against the Browns. Hell they are lucky Weeden threw 4 picks lol. BTW he is god awful, thank god the defense played really well yesterday
  22. So basically since the 90s the B1G has sucked everywhere outside of the conference lol. The SEC and Pac12 own us according to the stats
  23. The preseason rankings will remain as they are used to build hype for early games sadly. With that said OSU is #12 in the new AP poll This week there is some good matchups: Cal vs #12 OSU #1 Alabama vs Arkansas (looked like a much better matchup last week haha) #18 Florida vs #23 Tennesee #2 USC vs #21 Stanford #20 Notre Dame vs #10 Michigan St (My upset pick)
  24. I honestly think this is a blah year for college football in general. I think you'll have 2-3 elite teams (USC, LSU, Alabama) and then a lot of teams that are average
