  1. http://buckeyextra.dispatch.com/content/stories/2014/08/18/braxton-miller-injury-update.html "Ohio State senior quarterback Braxton Miller, considered by several polls to be among the preseason leaders to make a run at the Heisman Trophy, reinjured his right shoulder in practice this afternoon, sources told The Dispatch. The injury puts in jeopardy his playing status for the coming season.
  2. You will like this though Zack, Herbstreit named Miller his heisman winner and OSU the national champion. That means neither of those 2 things are going to happen haha.
  3. And already rumors floating that he'll be missing the Navy game due to shoulder soreness... I guess I am in the .1% along with a lot of other fans not on Columbus Racing, who realize Braxton is not a great quarterback, hes an amazing athlete though as I have said.
  4. Name me a great OSU qb not named Troy Smith...OSU is not known for these amazing qb's, so for him to hold all the records, doesn't really do much for me. Travis Prentice held the NCAA rushing TD record for a while, does that make him elite? Does anyone get excited when his name is dropped? Hell, does anyone outside of me and Bicranium even know who Travis Prentice is? The point I am making is, while he may hold school records, it doesn't make him greater than he really isn't. The kid is a 5th round draft pick at best, unless he comes out this year and absolutely tears it up, proving me and the other doubters wrong. I have said this before and I will say it again, as an OSU fan I hope he does exactly that. However, I feel his best asset is his feet, not his arm.
  5. Uh oh Notre Dame http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2014/08/15/notre-dame-investigates-cheating-scandal/14116413/

  7. It's all good though, FWIW our cats name is Braxton Miller (our 4 year old absolutely loves Braxton, the player). I think he has all the physical tools to be special, I just feel the stuff above his shoulders is where he is limited. That and he can't stay healthy to save his life. BTW word is OSU is replacing N. Carolina with UNLV and Oregon State
  8. I said this last year and the year before and got hated on by posters in this thread lol.
  9. Who are the Heisman hopefuls for this year? I know there is Braxton, Mariotta and Winston but who else? Which btw, barring an upset those 3 should be playing in the playoffs for top 3 teams lol
  10. Got bored and went a little further into it 90 Detmer (Huge numbers won it) 91 Howard (numbers won it) 92 Torretto (Miami #2) 93 Ward (FSU National Champs) 94 Salam (2000 yards and Colorado #3 95 George (1900 yards and OSU #2 before losing to Michigan) 96 Wuerrful (Florida #1, National Champions) 97 Woodson (Michigan #2 although they claim it as a national championship) 98 Williams (2300 yards won it) 99 Dayne (2,000+ yards won it) The 90s were more favorable to non qb's and players not on top teams. However, 5 out of 10 were still on a top 2 teams and Salam was close by being on the #3 ranked team.
  11. OSU and North Carolina agree to cancel their 2017/2018 series. 2000 Weinke (FSU played in NCG, lost to Oklahoma) 2001 Crouch (Nebraska played in NCG, lost) Really bad year for the Heisman looking at the numbers 2002 Palmer (numbers won it) 2003 White (Oklahoma #1/#2, lost to LSU in NCG) 2004 Leinart (USC #1) 2005 Bush (USC #1 or 2, lost to Texas in NCG) 2006 Smith (OSU #1) 2007 Tebow (huge numbers won it for him) 2008 Bradford (Oklahoma #1, lost to Florida in NCG) 2009 Ingram (Bama #1) 2010 Newton (Auburn #1) 2011 RG3 (numbers won it) 2012 Manziel (numbers and beating Bama won it) 2013 Winston (FSU #1/#2, won NCG) So yeah, as mentioned it usually goes to a player on the best team in the country. 10 out of the 14 winners in the 2000's so far have been on the #1 or #2 team in the country and played for the national championship game.
  12. Manziel put up stupid numbers, same with Tebow the year he won it. The Heisman usually goes to a player on the best team as stated. Also, the award is a joke of an award anymore to begin with, it's a qb's award. Since 1990 16 winners were qb's, 6 rb's, 1 WR, 1 DB. Since 2000, 12 have been QB's, 2 were running backs. RG3 put up 47 TD's the year he won it, Manziel had 47 TD's in 2012 when he won it and beat then "unbeatable" Alabama. Tebow had 58 TD's in 2007 when he won it. For Braxton to have a chance at it, he's gonna have to 1. Stay healthy for an entire season 2. Go undefeated and 3. Put up insane numbers, I'm talking 35 passing and 10+ rushing TD's I really don't think they want a second 2 time winner, so I don't expect Winston to win it again. I think it'll be the kid from Oregon (Mariotta) honestly as they will put up huge numbers and have a shot at being undefeated (if they can finally beat Stanford).
  13. Little vid my buddy made of my car https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDAKGoKOrNU
  14. Read it and they are saying it wont affect the cruise, I hope that is true. Is there one city on the 16 mile stretch that is better to hang out in than the rest? http://www.mlive.com/auto/index.ssf/2014/08/massive_flooding_not_expected.html
  15. We are going up Saturday morning for the drift event in downtown Detroit and staying in Dearborn. Is there a time we should get to one of the towns along the cruise route by? I know it says that it goes until 9pm.
  16. Has anyone ever been to this? We are going to be in the Detroit area this weekend and just found out that this event is going on as well. We are going to try and check it out.
  17. I don't usually jump on the "RIP Celebrity X" bandwagon, but in this case RIP! I loved his movies and stand up comedy bits. Patch Adams is probably my favorite movie by him.
  18. I too have a source and it's not making 2000hp from what I have been told
  19. I have a buddy who is big into collecting video games. I sent him these pics just to rub it in/motivate him haha
  20. What: Back to school supply cruise in When: Saturday August 9th, 4pm-6pm Where: House of New Hope 8135 Mount Vernon Rd, Saint Louisville, Ohio 43071 We are going to hold our very first "Cruise In" on Saturday August 9th, at the House of New Hope in St. Louisville, right on St. Rt 13. The event will be held from 2pm to 6pm. This is due to Mopar being the same night and we know everyone will be in Heath for that. The cost of entry into this event is at minimum 1 back to school supply per person, but not limited to. If you have a car with more than 1 person in it, more than 1 item will be required to gain entrance. We will have workers setup at the entrance, collecting items. We will also have workers directing cars once inside. This will help with parking and keeping things orderly. This event is open to all makes/models of vehicles as well as motorcycles. We ask that anyone who comes, respects everyone around them, as well as the workers from the house and their property. We ask that no burnouts take place, no trash is left behind and everyone acts like they have some common sense. Poppy's Roadside Diner will be on site, cooking up some delicious food. Make sure you stop over and "Stuff Yourself". Proceeds from the diner will be donated to the House of New Hope as well.
