  1. Looks good. Makes me feel even more lucky to find a "turn key" foreclosed new construction home.

    Is this your profession?

That is pretty lucky indeed. We could have replaced the carpet and called it good but i never like "Stock".

My profession is in banking, however i pick up quickly and never overlook the fine details. Nothing worse than having a 3k floor that is cut sloppy or needs pulled up 5 months later.

  2. Made some more purchases. Doors have Arrived from Bairds Brothers. I would recommend them to anyone, i have not had customer service like that in a long time. Driver was friendly, didnt complain, and didnt act like i was another number.

Also the Great Indoors is having a going out of business sale. I picked up the following:

    Blanco - granite sink

Faucets for downstairs and upstairs bathroom and 2 faucets for the master. Faucets for the laundry room and Kitchen.

Tile for the customer shower going in.

All for under 1,000 + not including the doors.

Baseboards and doors will be hung soon then stained. Carpet is next, other misc flooring and counter tops and call it done.

Bought lots of shit at the great indoors when they went out of business.

    Update:

Flooring has been installed in the living room, foyer, and kitchen.

Baseboard and casing installed throughout entire house

Solid oak doors installed - whole house

Tile done properly in the upstairs bathroom. work was redone due to poor install the first time.

Just need countertops, finish the island, carpet, and to finish the master bathroom.

all down. I came up 9 planks (2 boxes) short in the dining room and trying to find this stuff is hard. Its wilsonart Bentwood Oak. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

  3. Who do you recommend that:

    • Is timely
    • takes pride in their work
    • Cares about customer service
    • Wont leave the job until the job is done correctly
    • Does not take short cuts

Currently i need Siding replaced, possibly the Foam Board and insulation on the outside of the house. This includes putting new tyvec on. Possibly whole house Job since it may be hard to match up siding.

Trim Flashing around upper roof line around most of the house.

Drywall repair inside and new flashing installed on bump out. Includes Vapor barrior, insulation and caulking.

This should be it. Please let me know someone that falls within that categories i listed above.

    Thanks everyone.

  4. I actually am selling both my car and bike. I need to step away from all of it for awhile. I am just looking at picking up a luxury for a DD and will come back into things later on.

Are we back to 2010 again?

If i had the cash i would pick it up great car + seller.

  6. Mr mulch, Ohio Mulch, Kurtz brothers, mulch manufacturing. try all these places.

Normal price is anywhere from 26.99 to 45.99 a cy.

    9 - 3 cf bags = 1 cy

    13.5 - 2 cf bags = 1 cy

I do not like ohio mulch usually because it losses it color quickly. Mulch manufacturing has some good mulch located on taylor road. Throw some preen down prior to mulching this will aid in keeping weeds away but does not completely stop them.

Next time dont be so damn lazy and use google.

  7. finally figured out a layout for the master bath.

    going from this

    http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c168/twistedrx7/Bathroom.jpg

to this: the triangle for the soaking tub is for a step up either into the shower or tub. trying to figure out if i want to keep the existing 60 x 60 tub or switch to a single and do 60 x 42 for a to person side by side and allow more room into the shower. Its an open concept shower. (if you have ever been the The Tile Shop it would be like the 9 foot long shower in the back left)

What im looking to sort of replicate with the shower just a little bit different.

  8. Did you dampen and lay over a bucket? Bends real nice and easy after that and surprising in a real short time span. Work looks real good.

I wish i would have thought of that, I used 3/8" plywood, then glued and screwed and trimmed off the edges.
